IS opens new anti-US front with journalist’s beheading

BAGHDAD/BEIRUT: Islamic State’s beheading of a US journalist and its threat to “destroy the American cross” suggests it has gained enough confidence seizing large areas of Iraq and Syria to take aim at American targets despite the risks.

On Tuesday night, Islamic State released a video purporting to show one of its fighters beheading James Foley, who was kidnapped in Syria nearly two years ago. The black-clad executioner, who spoke English with a British accent, also produced another American journalist and said his fate depends on President Barack Obama’s next move.

Obama on Wednesday called for a joint effort to eliminate the “cancer” posed by the militants.

It seems clear that Islamic State is raising the stakes, aware that the gruesome death of an American and the image of another one at the mercy of an executioner who is taunting a US president could invite retaliation — heavier airstrikes at least.

Perhaps the most telling video was one released just before Foley was shown in an orange jump suit to remind Americans that militants are still angry at the detention of Muslims at Guantanamo Bay.

The earlier video suggested Islamic State was gearing up for an existential holy war between the caliphate and the crusader America, with the threat to destroy “The American Cross.”

“destroy the American cross”

.
Huh?

We are trying to destroy the cross ourselves without the help of ISIS.

We’ll plead for its return when things get to be really bad — and it will.

ISIS members don’t CARE about their family members. In fact, many members are very proud of their offspring, husbands or relatives.

Let’s just bomb the crap out of their camps, small towns they hold, and anything that moves in ISIS territory.

Then, when a big target becomes available, it s B-2 and B-52 time.

Oh, I’m sorry. I forgot about Obama, our -

Commie in Chief
Coward in Chief
Moslem in Chief
Racist in Chief

and most importantly,
Golfer in Chief

He’s not “leading from behind”. He is “THE BEHIND”, as some of his military advisors such as Dempsey, Mabus, one of the Marine Corps top leaders, the Secy of the Air Force, and Pentagon chair polishers, are.

I’ve never seen a bunch of military leaders so cowardly in thought except when it comes to PC thinking or preventing “collateral damage”.

Among the “real” military leaders of the US that I have had the privilege of meeting over the decades were Adm. Middendorf, McCain (the father, CINCOMPAC, VN), Dan Galley, SecNav Lehman and his brother, Adm. Denton, Maxwell Taylor, Adm. Radford, Gen. Cushman, and others from WW2 thru VN.

Today, the guys with brains and guts are being ousted by Obama’s toadies, and American servicemen and women are being killed by stupid and cowardly policies eminating from the RED HOUSE and JCS.

If the above isn’t true, then why are we losing in Lebanon, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, and even No. Korea?

Start continuous round the clock bombing. First target their military stashes and then take out the cities, people and all if necessary. Reduce it to rubble. We did it with Dresden, Hamburg and Berlin, Hiroshima, Nagasaki and Tokyo. Why not every cow pie town and village in Iraq, Syria, Iran and wherever they lurk? Take out their oil fields, railroads everything of any value. It can all be rebuilt. After all, it’ll only take one bomb per target and there are plenty of them available. (Bombs and Targets). This is a friggin’ WAR! There is NO substitute for victory. It will send a loud and clear message to citizens who want to support 7th century maniacs like ISIL!

Nuke them.
I agree.

But, bring our troops home first.
Won’t happen though.
Democrats always get us into protracted wars.

We have a problem in the White hut that needs to be removed.

Man, I was on here in May of 2009 trying to gain support for a guillotine party instead of that nice march with all those nice people that was ignored completely by the media.

The Society of Professional Journalists post-9/11/2001 guidelines.

"When writing about terrorism, remember to include white supremacist, radical anti-abortionists and other groups with a history of such activity."

PC Indoctrination: Guidelines for Countering Racial, Ethnic, Regligous Profling *Must Read*

Urgent request from the Society of Professional Journalists: need examples of anti-abortion activists, tea party, white supremacists, conservatives, FReepers beheading people! Please! Urgent!

“Obama a few years ago said we were not at war with Islam....”

George W. Bush called Islam “the religion of peace” and held hands with the Saudi prince after 9/11.

If ISIS continues and escalates these barbaric acts, and carries out attacks on American soil, the sheeple may finally wake up and scream loud enough for their politicians to finally start protecting the country. Fear is a great motivator and I perceive most Americans will remain blissfully ignorant until they feel an imminent threat to their persons, their families or their property. Politicians, academia, and the media have done an excellent job of brainwashing the public.

Obama a few years ago said we were not at war with Islam....

He also said, “I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”

Things are pretty ugly now in Iraq.
would it seem unseemly for him to use Air Force to travel and stand with his muslim brothers?

I had the honor and the great privilege of meeting Jim Conway once . He was the Commandant of the United States Marine Corps at the time . Great guy .
I would like to see him as acting President of the United States , immediately after armed Armed Forces members arrest and escort out of office all present high office holders in Washington DC . We are NEVER going to get rid of these scum by conventional ‘political’ processes . They have too far infiltrated and corrupted our system of government and it could now happen at a worse time . They need to be uprooted , like noxious weeds in a garden , and replaced , with prejudice . And not a moment too soon . America does not have the luxury of waiting for the entire BS 2016 political game to play itself out . MIL : take the power now and let’s get this worldwide threat of sickening radical Islam dealt with ; once and for all . And F what all the pantywaist Libs , commies and islamo-apologists say/think . They all belong in camps . ( on the Mex border)
