SO, the media will start "ignoring" Ferguson by just not covering it and getting ALL HOT AND BOTHERED by some other "breaking news." Same old crap from the media.
I am glad for the officer.
HE knew he was right.
His family and friends knew he was right.
His fellow officers knew he was right.
Every cop on the planet knew he was right.
Everyone with a brain knew he was right.
The media even knew he was right.
Every black caucus knew he was right.
The perp's family knew he was right.
But, gotta sell more breath mints, cars, brassiers, shoes and toilet paper.
Walking would leave the decent people in Ferguson helpless. Most people in Ferguson are working a job, or retired, or otherwise basically responsible human beings. A lot of them are as unhappy about the rioting and ruckus as the cops are. The cops I have known would not walk away and leave them hanging unless and until it’s clear Darren Wilson is going to be officially crucified — and even then they’d think long and hard first.
Besides, a lot of them don’t expect anything better from the press. They deal with people who insist on their own reality against all evidence, and who find a way to blame the cops whenever anything goes wrong, on a depressingly regular basis.
