ISIS has posted a video, claiming that they have beheaded American journalist James Foley of Rochester, New Hampshire. They say that he was beheaded by the terror group in order to dissuade the United States from its involvement in Iraq. Foley has been missing since 2012.
A Middle Eastern radio station’s reporter, Zaid Benjamin, has posted pictures to Twitter. Reportedly, the photos are from the video that ISIS posted.
Zaid Benjamin, the Washington correspondent for Radio Sawa, said that the location of the beheading is unknown, but he did say that he thought the accent of the man in the video was North African, rather than from the Iraq region.
According to The Wire:
James Foley is a photojournalist who has worked for several news organizations. According to a website set up in his honor, he went missing while covering the conflict in Syria in 2012. His disappearance was ruled a kidnapping by the FBI.
Also in the video, ISIS claims to be holding Steven Joel Soltoff, a reporter who went missing in 2013, who has worked for TIME. He last tweeted on August 3, 2013, where he was purportedly in Libya. In the video, ISIS warns that his life depends upon “depends on Obama’s next decision.”
This is rather disturbing, and only further shows the threat that we face from this dreadful terror group. This cannot be something that we tread lightly on. It is impossible for the civilized world to coexist with individuals like this, who have absolutely no regard for human life. The United States must be strong against this terror group, or we risk losing any ground we may have made over the last decade in the War on Terror.

For a full generation now, at least, journalists have behaved as if they exist in an entirely different realm of cause and effect.
Many of them also have no ability to distinguish between friend and foe in the world at large.
The world is a rough place. The special privileges given to journalists here, within our own borders, do not exist in areas where journalists like to flock to make themselves famous.
It’s time, and past time, that journalists reacquaint themselves with real reality, rather than the wishitwere reality they’ve pretended exists only for themselves.
