I’m going to stick with saying that their “experts” comments on cocking before each shot to get a lighter trigger pull only applies to DA revolvers and not DAO pistols.

A S&W bodyguard .38 is a cock-able DAO revolver

Well see, that’s something I didn’t know. I guess I had taken the only in “double action only” at face value. I’m used to thinking of Glocks, XD’s, M&P’s, my Pf-9, etc as double action pistols but apparently, according to Wikipedia, they are single action pistols since pulling the trigger again after a misfire doesn’t make the hammer fall again. I’d seen the hammer on Sig DAK style pistols but I guess I thought that was an artifact of being based on an existing DA/SA pistol.
Since their expert is retired I’m still going to think his discussion of cocking a pistol before each shot to get a lighter trigger pull is based on revolvers but I guess it could also be based on a hammer fired DAO pistol.
