Progressive activists are launching a day-long, nationwide campaign Tuesday to sabotage the release of Paul Ryans new book by going to bookstores and wrapping the copies in demeaning fake covers.
The Agenda Project, a New York-based progressive activist group founded by former Democratic National Committee official Erica Payne, urged its supporters to print out a digitally altered cover of Ryan pushing an old woman off a cliff a visual version of the talking point Democrats used against Ryans entitlement plan during his 2012 run for vice president and cover copies of his book The Way Forward at stores while taking pictures of themselves for social media.
Heres the fake cover, courtesy of a link in an early-morning Agenda Project email:
Just print it out, take it to your nearest bookstore, and place it over the book jacket. Rep. Ryan is counting on us, lets not let him down!, Agenda Project founder Erica Payne wrote in an email to supporters at 4:01 AM Tuesday morning, which was disguised as a call for readers to help Ryans publishing company by placing corrected covers on his wrongly-dressed books.
Remember to email us at Erica@agendaproject.org with any pictures you take of the corrected covers, and share them on social media with the tag #SaveGranny, Payne wrote.
The activists planned conduct could fall under a number of different legal violations, including criminal mischief and property damage laws.
It’s interesting that Liberals are attacking their best friends - RINOs.
Why bother? He’s no Ted Cruz, Sarah Palin or Steve King.
“Agenda Project founder Erica Payne”
I bet she’s a splendid cat mom.
No doubt the RINO Freepers will boycott posting today out of protest.
This is what passes as good governance for liberals.
I had dinner with a well educated liberal the other night. The best she could come up with to criticize LePage, after all her years of Liberal activism and excellent intellect was "he's an embarrassment" ... with the full expectation that I would nod my head and join in trashing him, even though she knows I'm a well argued conservative.
This is their dream for America - trash everything that it is - and then - finally - it would be what they want. They are a miserable lot. No dreams, only complaints, injustices, bitterness and sarcasm ... unencumbered by a rational thought process grounded in facts, principles and history.
Put a high res security camera focused on the display which clearly shows faces and features. Use the book as fly paper for leftists and then prosecute the Rats caught in the trap. Bookstores who decide to prosecute could even ask for contributions to support their efforts.
Who is Lepage?
So, the Left now believes in cross-dressing books as well as cross-dressing people? But, doesn’t that take away the right of the book to be what it wants to be? Silly me - that is ALWAYS the plan of the Left, to force us into their image of what is correct.
Governor of Maine.
Liberals are the worst, even their best friends are not immune from their lies, and the Rino’s just suck it up and play right into their hands, very strange bed fellows indeed.
This could actually make me want to buy a copy of Ryan’s book.
I wonder if these guys could make their silly cover available on Amazon or as a Kindle download?
Any chance we could have him here in Mass when you’re done? Good governor.
I’m wondering how many of these dopes will leave their ID’s on the footers of their printed covers
My thought too. Why attack someone who is on their side?
None of them will ever be arrested.
Or we just scribble "Paulie is a poopyhead" on his math binder when he's not looking."
I recently saw gay “marriage” greeting cards at the drug store. I was thinking about going back and slipping friendly little messages on small pieces of paper in the envelopes behind the cards. I wonder how that would go over.
Get back to me when they attack an actual Republican or conservative.
Until then, I could not care less.
That’s a great idea! Insert those Leviticus Biblical quotes on homosexuality.
