Who makes up the National Guard?
The Guard’s racial make-up is close to that of the United States, as a whole. According to Census QuickFacts, 77.7 percent of the U.S. population identify as white, 13.2 percent as black or African American, 1.2 percent as American Indian or Alaska Native, 5.3 percent as Asian.
This from a guy who literally has an army protecting OUR property....
If the purpose of the National Guard is to guard the Nation, then Obama should be very, very worried - - - .
Because they might stop looters from looting? Businesses from burning? God forbid the rioters er excuse me protesters don’t get to do their thing.
My understanding is these people are the State Guard when called out by a governor and they become the National Guard when called by the President. I believe that each governor has to give his permission before the President can call them out.
