Michael Brown: A Criminal and a Thug
FrontPage Mag ^ | 08/18/2014 | Matthew Vadum

As the media-sanctioned rioting, bloodshed and looting continue in Ferguson, Missouri, evidence is emerging that police shooting victim Michael Brown wasn’t the upstanding citizen that many on the Left have claimed him to be.

All of this is happening as mobs have been attacking cops with Molotov cocktails and destroying community infrastructure. Some blacks in the region are reportedly randomly assaulting non-blacks as collective payback for what happened to Brown. Looting and property destruction are rampant. Scores of people have been arrested. Aircraft were ordered to fly at least 3,000 feet over Ferguson airspace after police said their helicopters were fired on from the ground.

A curfew was imposed, and the state’s feckless Democratic governor, Jay Nixon, stripped local police of some of their responsibilities, replacing them with state highway patrolmen. This, predictably, led to more looting of stores and all the things that usually happen when an angry, violent mob is rewarded for its bad behavior.

Through it all, the Left is out in force in Ferguson, trying to make a bad situation worse. The criminal elements of the city have been emboldened by martyrized accounts of Brown, and have carried out a campaign of destruction against the civil order under the banner of “no justice, no peace.”

As happened in the Trayvon Martin case two years ago, the hulking, nearly 300-lbs. Brown has been portrayed as an innocent doe-eyed angel unfairly cut down by evil police as a promising future awaited him. In Brown’s case, he was said to be just days away from heading off to college.

Unconfirmed reports are that the officer’s eye socket was broken.

I think it’s a valid assumption that if Brown assaulted an officer, then he’s a threat to others.

Quick story. I am an urban school teacher. A number of years ago I had a black student who I will call John in my algebra class. John was a senior, and he had a great work ethic. He came to class every day and he tried his best. And I worked with him after school.

But John simply had no aptitude for algebra. Despite everyone's best efforts, he failed the course.

Near the end of the year, I asked him what he was going to do after high school. He told me that he had a full chemistry scholarship at a local university.

A chemistry scholarship! For a student who couldn't do algebra! That was a travesty on so many levels. And I'm sure it greatly damaged John, for no way could he do college chemistry.

But why should the college care? Federal money was probably involved.

If you’re a police officer, and you’re being charged like a rhinoserous by a 300 lb man, you’ve got to think about what happens if he overpowers me and manages to take away my service pistol? At that point, you’re in a very serious life-threatening situation as the guy clearly has bad intentions. I would have dropped him before he got within 20 feet of me.

“Brown has been portrayed as an innocent doe-eyed angel unfairly cut down by evil police as a promising future awaited him. In Brown’s case, he was said to be just days away from heading off to college.”

The name of the tech school he was supposedly going to attend is known. Has the media bothered to check to see if he had enrolled there?

My guess is that the ‘going off to college’ is made up BS that Crump told the parents to say.

In the robbery description,Brown grabs the store clerk by the neck and shoves him into a merchandise rack, turns ,moves toward the door and then turns and heads back toward the clerk to intimidate him.
Now does that sound familiar?
A description of the police altercation has Brown and the officer in a tussle through the window of the police vehicle,Brown then pulls, away, runs, the police officer yells to freeze,Brown turns and runs back at the officer,he shoots and kills him

Well now, wait a minute, everyone go to cnn.com They have a picture of the Gentle Giant wearing his cap and gown and looking so innocent. Wonder why the Communist News Network won’t show St Swisher’s social media pics, complete with cash and middle fingers and gang signs? By tonight, they’ll have St Swisher’s toddler pics up on CNN’s site. Disgusting, filthy libs.

We’ve seen that he was “spending the summer” at grandma’s. Smells just like St. Skittles being sent to spend the holiday with dad to get him outta town after his brush with the law. Did he always live with grandma since she lives 15 mins. from his HS or what? Why wasn’t he at home? Or maybe grandma let him get by with more crap. She had just driven by him so why didn’t she tell him to get out of the middle of the road? I would have but then the kids I raised don’t rob stores, knock people around, flash gang signs and attack cops.

"may not be used unless necessary to prevent the escape and the officer has probable cause to believe that the suspect poses a significant threat of death or serious bodily harm to the officer or others."

I would say that beating an on-duty cop, in accordance with his duties, and authorized by the state and city AND ALMOST HAD HIS FIREARM taken away presents a "significant threat of death or serious bodily harm to the officer or others".

Good shooting officer.

Civilization thanks you!

A/C repairment get a nice income. Nothing to sneeze at there.

You are wrong about the law in Tennessee. It’s not nearly as simple as you imply. If fact, there is a famous U.S. Supreme Court case about shooting a fleeing suspect involving the state of Tennessee. I suggest you read it
