Attorney General Eric Holder called for another autopsy to be performed on slain black teenager Michael Brown, whose shooting by a white cop in a St. Louis suburb has sparked violent protests that left a man critically wounded early Sunday.
“Due to the extraordinary circumstances involved in this case and at the request of the Brown family, Attorney General Holder has instructed Justice Department officials to arrange for an additional autopsy to be performed by a federal medical examiner,” Justice Department spokesman Brian Fallon said in a statement.
what is there about the death of Michael Brown that makes this a federal case? If you sweep aside the wall to wall media coverage and celebrities flocking to Ferguson, this is a case of one person who was shot during a confrontation with a local police officer, allegedly on the heels of a low dollar value robbery at a convenience store. Nobody crossed state lines that I’m aware of.

If they have to have a black man autopsy Brown, “to make it fair,” have Dr. Ben Carson do it.
If Brown had been a white boy, this entire episode never would have made it to the news.

I can see the results now.
Based on the evidence as a result of the autopsy, we conclude the Michael Brown was in the process of surrendering, his arms were clearly cupped behind his head, he was on his knees facing away from the officer. His last words that we know he said based on the shape of his lips were. “Please don’t shoot me Mr Police Officer.” He was also chewing on skittles and had flowers in his pocket for his mother and a coffee cup in the other that said World’s Best Dad.

Isn’t a private autopsy before an official autopsy a tactical move? Or was one done by the PD/County/Coroner first? Either way, doubt any real additional data are available.
