“You have an obligation to prepare yourself.”
However, this obligation extends in three other directions.
The first is protecting your family and neighbors, some of whom cannot effectively defend themselves, such as the infirm, elderly, and children.
The second is protecting innocent strangers from violence and chaos. While this is situational, it is a good sign of character.
Third is the protection not seen. If you harm or kill someone who is criminal, violent and a threat to society, you have prevented *future* crime, violence and threat by that individual. The victimization of some or many others. And, if you kill them, you may save the taxpayers $1,000,000 or so for each decade they would have spent in prison. This adds up.
I place myself under no obligation to protect a liberal, who is too stupid to buy his own guns.
Thank-you for your comment, excellent, God Bless!
