Despite spending his vacation in the summer heat of Marthas Vineyard, President Obama has declined an offer to partake in the Internets favorite charitable wet t-shirt contest.
Obama was nominated to take the challenge Sunday by Ethel Kennedy, the widow of former Sen. Bobby Kennedy. On Facebook, the 86-year-old challenged the president to join her in the #StrikeOutALS challenge by dumping a bucket of ice water on his head.

Pussy.
I’d do it...
My reaction: "This is so damn gay I wish I never heard about it."

With great respect I think this is a fantastic idea. The amount of money raised by this has been extraordinary, and ALS research will be the beneficiary. My niece’s father will likely not live until Christmas because of this dreadful disease. Sometimes the methods are strange but the message is getting through.
Why would he take such a challenge...he’s never broken a sweat in his life.
LOL, Lou must have been in on that super-secret cell phone project in the 30’s that you see pictures of & discussed on the wack sites. ;-)
Hey, I saw the movie. ;^)

I agree. Also, it’s not enough to quietly do good any more. People have to make sure everyone knows how wonderful they are. I really hate Parade Magazine’s “make a difference day”. People make a difference every day by doing their jobs and taking care of their families.
Good Lord, what’s so “challenging” about this? Here in GA it sounds positively DELIGHTFUL!
I read that the ice bucket challenge has raised >$4M for ALS so far. That compares to the $43K raised last summer with conventional fundraising.
