With the release of tape today by the Ferguson Police Department of a man who appears to be Michael Brown allegedly physically assaulting a much smaller clerk while stealing Swisher Sweet cigars, the media’s narrative has collapsed. The media – and top-level politicians across the political spectrum – portrayed Michael Brown in saintlike fashion. That narrative no longer holds.
The report from the police department states:
Brown grabbed a box of Swisher Sweet cigars and handed them to Johnson. [REDACTED] witnessed [REDACTED] tell Brown that he had to pay for those cigars first. That is when Brown reached across the counter and grabbed numerous packs of Swisher Sweets and turned to leave the store.
Brown then reportedly “grabbed [an intervening bystander] by the shirt and forcefully pushed him back into a display rack.”
We still don’t know the details of what happened between Officer Darren Wilson and Brown that led to Brown’s shooting death. Perhaps Wilson is a racist; we have no evidence of that as of yet. Perhaps Wilson used excessive force; we have no evidence of that as of yet, since we don’t have full evidence of the situation leading to the shooting. If Officer Wilson killed Brown without justification, he should obviously be punished to the full extent of the law....

One has to wonder about someone who just robbed a store and assaulted someone half the size strolling down the street just a few minutes afterwards.
I don’t remember ever saying that the officer was ‘short’.
I do remember saying, days ago, that he was ‘white’.

All the media has been saying it was QT.
I believed them.
Then the other day I saw a picture of the LIQUOR STORE where this actually occurred. I then looked for confirmation. It took a while but I got it.
The police report does not say it was a QT. It says victim/storeowner told the officer who arrived that the perps ran off “that way towards the QT”.
The video that has been spread on the internet since yesterday does not show the inside of a QT.
So, I, for one, had that detail wrong. Since you seem to be following this pretty closely as well, I thought I would tell you first.

I had suspected this about 2 days ago, but it took a while to confirm it.
Just interested in getting the facts correct.
It was comments like yours that also led me to realize that the robbery wasn't at the QT.
I don't believe they even sell Swisher Sweet Wraps(aka blunts) at ANY QT. The video of the robbery doesn't show the inside of a QT.

That was the turning point for Nancy Grace. Up til then I could listen to her once in awhile. Now I cant stand her. I’m sure she lost some loyal viewers.
Nothing would quell the situation. The press may have asked for answers...and then they’d pick and choose what to report. Calm doesn’t sell newspapers. Riots and looting do. The police never disclose facts in an ongoing investigation until that info has been verified and reverified. Is this cop guilty? I don’t know. Did he shoot with or without a scuffle? Did he sustain injuries? What does the forensic evidence show? How many credible witnesses are there? There are too many missing pieces for anyone to make an informed judgment....that includes you.
