Homicide is murder and is therefor a sin.

Nope; if this were true then there would never be a justifiable homicide, yet there are — even in the Old Testament Mosaic law.
(Ex: Ex 22:2 If a thief is found breaking in, and is beaten to death, no bloodguilt is incurred;.)

Suicide is also murder and also a sin

If that is the case, then Jesus [who intentionally ended his own life (therefore committing suicide)] sinned; we know this to be false.

This raises a contradiction, therefore one or more of the predicates must be false.

  1. The definition of suicide is/includes the intentional taking of one's own life.
  2. Jesus's sacrifice was intentional. [John 10:18]
  3. Jesus knew his sacrifice entailed his own death. [John 10:18]
  4. Jesus was sinless. [1 Peter 2:22; 1 John 3:5; 1 Peter 1:18-19]
  5. Suicide is sin. [Your assertion.]
Which of these is false?
If scripture, please explain how and why the scripture cited is wrong and/or applied incorrectly.
If Dictionary.com is not a valid reference, please explain why and produce an mutually acceptable definition.

Sure, Jesus knew His sacrifice was intentional.

But He didn’t kill Himself.

He knew he would live.

And He did.

Notice something about the attempt to call Christ’s death a “suicide.”

Nobody does it. This is because such an attempt doesn’t stand up to scrutiny.

If you don’t believe me, keep on with it and eventually you’ll understand.

The false statement is that Christ’s death was suicide. Crafty, though not particularly clever, that you don’t include it in the list.
