Sure, Jesus knew His sacrifice was intentional.

But He didn’t kill Himself.

He knew he would live.

And He did.

Of course he killed himself; without his death the resurrection is a lie.

(1 Corinthians 15:16-17)
For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.
Notice that word: raised — implicit in the second instance is from the dead.
To be dead his sacrifice mus entail dying; and if it entailed dying then it was the intentional ending of his life.

Yes; He did.
But it is because he died that our sins can be forgiven; it is because HE IS RISEN that we can have hope.
