After seeing the pictures, at this time the “facts” are definitely in dispute.

It’s in dispute that he was shot in the back now.

Although its not conclusive, the picture police have released of Mr Brown laying face down in the street does not reveal any evidence of a back wound.

Guess they haven’t seen the video of this upstanding honor student pushing around the much smaller employee of a convenience store in a strong arm robbery, which is why the cops were called in the first place.

Is that video available somewhere? I'd like to see it.

I do not know why but blacks in general are much more vicious than other races.

Because they come from single parent homes, and even the single parent is not providing any actual parenting. They join gangs for a sense of community and family. Basically, these punks are brought up by each other.

But if he *was* running, even if he assaulted the police officer, I think a different standard of force applies. Maybe send TJ Hooker chasing after him. That cop can catch any perp on the run.

Everything needs to be examined. What distance was Brown from the cop? If there was a struggle, as it looks like there was, the cop could have shot Brown in the front and then Brown could have spun around as the officer continued shooting.

The facts are, we don't know all the facts. I certainly doubt the "eyewitness" accounts of a number of the people in the crowd who might have been friends of Brown or intimidated into giving false accounts.

While an investigation might show the cop to be in the wrong, the facts are there is so much violent crime in black-populated areas that incidents like this one are inevitable. Now just imagine a situation where a white kid struggles with a cop in a similar situation. Which has happpened recently. Does anyone believe whites would riot and burn businesses?

Erick Erickson should wait for some actual facts before making conclusion of fact.

Brown just robbed a store. When the cop confronted him for being in the middle of the street, not knowing about the robbery, Brown could well have responded violently. He knew he just robbed a store and would have been expecting the police to try to apprehend him.

So when some white kid robs a store and then assaults a cop shortly after and the cop shoots him, I’m no going to be surprised or particularly outraged...

My guess is Brown was shot during scuffle and then wandered off and died. The “witness” was his accomplice in a robbery minutes before and has no credibility. The evidence will speak for itself.

There is/was a huge federal investigation into Albuquerque shootings by law enforcement- several shootings that people say were unjustified and law enforcement cleared themselves for. It was even national news when the investigation was forced by people protesting. Funny thing, I remember seeing pictures of those that were possibly shot without justification and don’t remember any of them being black.

It is not that law enforcement shoots only blacks, it is that when people other than blacks are shot by law enforcement it is seldom considered news...as if it is not as important. I can remember countless stories of law enforcement shooting other than blacks that have been reported, but they do not get the same attention from politicians or the media.

Most blacks that are killed are killed by other blacks; but that doesn’t seem to be a real concern either. The only concern of media and politicians for many years seems to be when law enforcement shoots a black person.
