The prudent thing to do is get all the facts about the case and then deal with the perps in a way that makes it clear they are being treated (relatively) well because the girls are still alive.
The last thing you ever want to do is give future assailants who are conflicted about their next step any kind of incentive to kill their victims just to cover their trail.
You are giving perps nationwide WAY too much credit and intelligence.
Kill their asses, THAT kind of stuff will resonate.
