Lt. Boyd said Williams was found in his bedroom “clothed, in a seated position, unresponsive with a belt secured around his neck.”
There were also several cuts on his left wrist and a pocket knife with a dried red substance was found in the vicinity, he stated.
The Academy-Award winner was 63.
“The work of the coroner’s office is not complete at this time,” Lt. Boyd stressed. He said a final cause of death would be released in several weeks after toxicology tests are completed.
“The forensic examination conducted by Dr. Joseph Cohen did not [indicate]…that Mr. Williams had been in a struggle prior to him being diseased,” he added.

Jonathan Winters had painting. Painting kept him going. Robin had a career and they don’t last forever. He had been looking like a homeless man for the last few years. But he had the potential and ability to do anything he wanted. He could have bought a Ferrari and driven it across country. He could have dedicated himself to charitable causes (which he did).
Suicide is the ultimate self-indulgence. Instead of saying “I am going to dedicate myself to helping others and making the world better”, you just avoid that by checking out.

For being in a movie where he traveled to Hell to get a love one (wife) - knowing what he could potentially face - a life time of misery reliving ones regret - alone for all time - why he would even consider this as a way out....sad..very very sad..

Let’s look at this.
This was a man who suffered from bipolar disorder, it was no secret.
Bipolar disorder is a very difficult syndromes that causes lack of judgment and an inability to care for self. They often become psychotic both in their upswing and in the depression. Very difficult disease. So it would not be unusual for him to look emaciated and disheveled. In psych hospitals part of the treatment included giving meal supplementation like Boost for their malnutrition.
He cut himself a few times SUPERFICIALLY with a knife. Pretty common with people in emotional pain. So closing the knife is a reasonable expectation.
They he hanged himself with a belt. People use all sorts of ways to hang, and his method is not really unusual. No the do not struggle and save themselves. They are trying to kill themselves.
People who live with bipolars learn to avoid them at their worst. Makes sense that she didn’t see him. She was probably hoping that he fell asleep and didn’t want to wake him up because bipolars often do not sleep for days.
Bipolar is treatable.
If he had bipolar disorder I wouldn’t trade lives with him no matter how bad mine might get.

I believe God knows the pain and suffering of the mentally ill and will treat them with the compassion and care they need. Often their hell has been here on earth.
The media yesterday acted like the world had lost one of its top 10 important people. All the talking head celebrities went on and on and on.
Overkill, just because they were all feeling their human frailty for one of their own. Even our brave CIC chimed in, when he hasn't uttered ONE WORD about our brave 3 deployment marine held in a Mex prison.
Depression is a killer, and I am sorry for Wms and his family. My non-celebrity take is this--stars of the dramatic, comedic, political, whatever genre push the envelope for MORE MOre More more....and eventually realize their is no more.
The immoral, ungrounded ones try artificial means for more. When they realize there is no more, the egocentric ones cave and crawl into a bottle, drugs, unreality and perish.
A good dose of God/Savior worship and good works, instead of egocentrism might help.

Even if it does, they are still capable of making rational decisions if needed. They don’t have to kill themselves. They can take another option. They can go to someone and say “I want to kill myself” and get help.
Don't apologize for expressing the truth allendale.....at a time when our country is in danger, and the world in general, to have 24/7 coverage of a suicidal death reveals the depravity of our news agencies and the viewers.
Obama took the lead on this...Hollywood followed with all their condolences..and then news broad-casted accordingly.
