President Barack Obama and Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel paid tribute to actor and comedian Robin Williams Monday.
Williams, 63, was found dead in his northern California home Monday and officials said it appeared to be a suicide.
Obama said in a statement issued Monday night that Williams "arrived in our lives as an alien but he ended up touching every element of the human spirit," referring to Williams' late 1970s role in the TV show "Mork and Mindy." The president was on vacation on Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts.

But not an illegal alien.
Like Obama ever saw Mork & Mindy—was it broadcast in Mombasa?
I kid, I kid...
He saw “Dork and Mindy.”
Obama is only giving this contribution to Robin Williams because he was a major $$$ donor.
Would Hussein and our liberal media care if Joan Rivers or another Republican/conservative celebrity died?
My condolences to the Hollyweird fandom crowd.
I’m surprised it took this long for Obama to use this tragedy to bring positive attention to himself. I’m sure he’s making further plans: “Of course, they’re gonna want me, Barack Obama, to give the eulogy at Robins funeral. That will make an excellent seque when I’m finished wi.th another round of fundraising
Well, that was quick. Is he going to cut his Martha Vineyards vacation short so he can attend the funeral?
Well, we have yet to hear any comments from him on the murder of a certain Major General in Afghanistan.
We get another glimpse into what is important in his world.
Shame.
if u can verify that fact...Ill go double piss on his grave!....For reasons then one!....lol
Very quick.
Still waiting for a comment on the murder of Maj. Gen. Harold Greene in Afghanistan.
Words fail.
He had nothing to say about the passing of Shirley Temple Black, did he?
Really? Obama has yet to mention Andrew Tahmooressi still held in a Mexico jail for making a wrong turn. Guess his parents ought to donate to the DNC to get Obama’s attention.
Well said. No disrespect to RW but I’ll take Groucho Marx and Norman Wisdom, a great English comedian of the early 1960s, any day of the week, any time.

We’re on the same sheet of music. See my #10 comment.
K
I’m sure he’ll go to MG Greene’s funeral........
Do I need a tag?
Groucho was so funny his brothers were hilarious. I always recommend their movies and with the advice to sit and watch. And pay attention
They’re funnier than anyone else, I think oh the way and bros are pretty close White Chicks is very funny.
Robin Williams we find funny in bits. The birdcage and Vietnam some very funny stuff but overall dark and victimish The fisher king was the end for me. I never saw him in anything from there
Night at the museum is very good, but then that’s a bit for him. That’s what he was brilliant at
Obama and Hagel are in on this. That’s plain bizarre
