Oscar-winning actor and comedian Robin Williams has died at age 63, according to police in Marin County, Calif.

On August 11, 2014, at approximately 11:55 a.m, Marin County Communications
received a 9-1-1 telephone call reporting a male adult had been located unconscious
and not breathing inside his residence in unincorporated Tiburon, CA. The Sheriff’s
Office, as well as the Tiburon Fire Department and
Southern Marin Fire Protection
District were dispatched to the incident with emergency personnel arriving on scene at
12:00 pm. The male subject, pronounced deceased at
12:02 pm has been identified as
Robin McLaurin Williams, a 63 year old resident of
unincorporated Tiburon, CA.

I think you’re the one who needs anti-depressants. Everything you have said on his thread has been a real downer. Why don’t you go find some religion thread to inflict yourself on. Plus you are a bundle of misconceptions and generalizations.
He said he was doing the TV series because he seriously needed the money.
Unless you have a lot of money, there isn’t a lot of help available and even when there is, so many reject the offer of help. And there is still such a stigma when it comes to mental health issues.
Thanx for that memory. I saw that episode. It was one of the highlights of an outstanding series.
I saw Winters in a drama. I want to say Twilight Zone or some such. He did a great job.
Robin was surrounded with people that were in the same shape he was in. They couldn’t help him, or even recognize his situation.
Fortunately, Winters had many friends that could help him.

You are lacking in insight. Depression, bi-polar depression, and alcoholism are genetic illnesses. People die from these diseases because they can’t stand the imbalance of brain chemicals wreaking havoc with their minds anymore.
Consider yourself fortunate that you have never suffered from these diseases and consider yourself fortunate that you are not a woman who has been raped instead of pointing a self-righteous finger at your fellow humans.

Wow. I was a freshman in high school when “Mork and Mindy” came on. I thought it was the funniest thing I’d ever seen.
Williams was hilarious, but he had some serious dramatic talent, too. A few years ago I saw him in a movie about a photo shop employee who becomes fixated on a family through their pictures...can’t recall the name, but it was a dark little flick, and he was convincingly creepy (and sad).
May he rest in peace.
I have read articles about anti-depressants and the awful side effects of them. Some even warn of severe depression when taking them. Drugs affect people differently. Watch tv ads for some and they warn about that.
