Bill Gates doesn’t slum it when it comes to his vacations.

The world's richest man has been photographed enjoying quality family time aboard an extravagant $330 million yacht.

The Microsoft founder has been pictured on “The Serene,” a stunning 450-foot boat he’s renting from Stolichnaya vodka magnate Yuri Scheffler for a cool $5 million per week.

Moored off the coast of Sardinia, it reportedly has 12 state rooms, a seawater swimming pool, a cinema, a nightclub, a climbing wall, a gym and two hot tubs.

I'm fine with Gates doing whatever he pleases. He had an idea, started a super successful company and is living the American dream.

He hasn't been perfect in hiring, but he has created hundreds of thousands of jobs. Further, you don't hear of him vacationing every three weeks. When he does, he pays for it.

I have a real problem with a leech who lies his way into the most prestigious job in the world and instead of DOING the job, plays golf between monthly or bi-weekly $4 mil vacations paid by hard working Americans.

Does he see himself as monarch? His words to the Bilderberg in Belgium May 2014-about the work they have been putting in place for years-a new world order, can only happen when ordinary people give up their rights to a sovereign leader because they are too small minded to govern themselves.

Sent to a friend of mine from Germany, will give the url for this 19 second cut. I am completely inept at this, but will try.

“If I was worth 50 billion I’d live in a 3,000 sq foot home,drive a $100K car,wear a Casio watch,eat at McDonald’s (and occasionally Ruth’s Chris) and vacation,in January,on the west coast of Florida.”

No you wouldn’t.

He’s a billionaire who has brought us valuable products that are practically the infrastructure of the world now. Why shouldn’t he vacation as well as he wants?

Some are begrudging his success

I don’t begrudge him his success. It’s just that I resent his luxurious indulgences after comments that he and his father have made about how the rest of us should give more to the poor of the world. And I suspect that the others who are snarking are thinking the same as I.

I agree. If there are things to criticize the guy over, go ahead. This class envy thing is so 1917 Russia.

No thanks.

I don’t care how he spends money he earned

I just detest the politics of he and his wife...and most of their pals

The son of a rich fairly liberal lawyer the rest came fairly easy ...they got lucky

He made his fortune smartly....appropriating ideas and being tough when they determined shares of the pie later on

There was plenty to split and had a better grasp on the power than say Jobs who actually was far greedier

I admire some things about the guy....wish his head was right

All that Aspen Group and Sun Valley Allen Grove stuff is poison

Like CFR

Unlike King B.H.O., Bill Gates spends his own money and not the money he taketh from the serfs.

Now I am saddened that Bill can’t afford to own his own yacht and has to rent one just to impress his friends.

No you wouldn’t.

Yes...I would. My Dad was a child of the Depression. However, during the 1950's,1960's and 1970's he did fairly well.Never a billionaire surely but fairly "comfortable".During his entire life, including during his years of "prosperity",he always lived well below his means. Our house was nice but he could have afforded much better. He always wore Timex watches and drove Oldsmobiles when he could have afforded *much* better. He had nice clothes...nice suits, shirts and shoes,particularly...but that was required for his job.His leisure clothes were very ordinary.

I'm a lot like him in that regard.I live a life that's certainly comfortable and secure (despite the Rat Party's best efforts) but I live well below my means. That goes for my house, car, diet, watch, flying coach...everything.I'm a long way from "rich" but my life is comfortable enough today that winning 50 billion in the lottery wouldn't cause me to change my lifestyle to any dramatic degree.

Perhaps it can be said that I,too,am a child of the Depression.

Mr. Gates’s success in the free market shouldn’t be begrudged, I agree. It makes one sound like a whiny 99 percent occupier type.

What I very much dislike about Mr. Gates however is his attempt to radically change what American children are taught in school by his promotion of the common core curriculum and the promotion of communist ideologies funded by the Steve and Melinda Gates foundation. Money is not evil, neither is having it. It is what you do with it that makes the difference.

Here in South Dakota we have Denny Sanford a man who made his billions with Premier Bank. He has built a Children’s Hospital, Breast Cancer Research Center a Catholic Retreat and helped to fund a restoration of a truly stunning cathedral. Mr. Gates intends to force a global redistribution of resources where people are government slaves. Mr. Sanford helps care for the sick and the spiritual needs of the community.

"Now I am saddened that Bill can’t afford to own his own yacht and has to rent one just to impress his friends."

Felix Dennis, a billionaire who passed away about a month ago, was famous for saying, "If it flies, floats, or [fornicates], rent rather than buy."

BTW, Paul Allen (Microsoft co-founder) owns a 414-foot yacht called the "Octopus." Pays for celebs to come in and party with him.

Good ole Mr. Bill Gates.

Loves that free market engine though has sympathies for foreign dictators. Has a few screws loose indeed the way I see him now. He is another bright person turned to being too weird.

Looks pretty posh.

I wonder, though, if being so famous and rich, he would value a week as someone completely anonymous and able to mix with others. His fame makes it impossible, as he has no herd anonymity. If only one nut in a million wants to put him in danger, he’s a target without security.

If you’re going to be in a cage, it’s better that it be gilded.
