They summarize the total enmification (the making into an enemy) of Jews by the Nazi government in the belief that Jewishness personifies physical disease in the body of humanity. The concept of homophobia, as used by progressives to psychodiagnose Christians, is a variation on the theme of government-sponsored total enmification. It is the progression from biopolitical enmification to psychopolitical enmification in America.
The Nazis believed that the Jew was physical illness personified. Pro-sexuality progressivism, which is advanced by the Obama administration throughout the government of the United States, conveys the view that devout Christianity is a form of mental illness called “homophobia,” and that Christian believers are mental illness personified. While there are no voices in America calling for the killing of devout Christians, an echo of socialist utopianism from the left wing can be detected throughout the government, academia on all levels, and the media that the world will be a better place when Christians are no more.
The vilifications hurled at Christians when they fulfill their religious duty to warn others about the stumbling blocks to heaven have become so hateful that while American Christians will be kept working to pay taxes for the government that has abandoned their defense, Christians appear in the mind of the more extreme elements of progressivism to be lebenswurten leben, "life unworthy to be lived."

Sexual degeneracy in all its forms is a spiritual disease, so naturally those so infected with the disease demand to be deemed normal and healthy. Denial and Magic Thinking are two sides of a coin spent in destruction of the soul/spirit.

The homosexual percentage increases dramatically in cities, which is also where most media is produced. City slickers control many of the public megaphones giving them a disproportionate voice. Does city life just attract homosexuals or does it generate new ones out of the locals?

JOnathan Haidt shows that there is not a single right/wrong aspect in the human mind, there are perhaps half a dozen.
Among these are purity/pollution, fairness/unfairness, harm/safety, etc.
Conservatives tend to be spread out across all the categories, while liberals (till recently) focuses more strongly on harm/safety and fairness/unfairness. Or, more accurately, that's what they told themselves and each other.
But now they're getting into purity/pollution in a big way. The people who've been attacked for being "homophobic," sued, fired, etc. posed no realistic risk to gay people. Nor is there any evidence at all that they'd treated them unfairly in a way that caused them significant harm.
No, they're pollutants in the society the "sex-friendly" people are building. They must therefore be punished and/or expelled, so as to intimidate others.
This is, BTW, an extension and elaboration of the way we've treated "racists" and anti-semites for some decades. A racist can do nothing at all to treat members of the race he dislikes unfairly or harm them. All he is doing, from a purely logical standpoint, is holding an unpopular believing. But he must still be expelled from polite society because he pollutes it.
Which brings to mind the old saw about, "First they came for the Jews, etc." Well, now they're coming for the homophobes, and I'm sure they'll soon find another group to exclude from society as a pollutant.
Again, highly recommend the book. For one thing, it does a fantastic job of illustrating that modern American and western European upper-middle class educated people are not "normal," as they assume. In point of fact, they are bizarrely divergent from national, world and historical norms.
Mr. Haidt, BTW, is or at least was, a liberal. But he's definitely an honest liberal. Which shows the term is not entirely an oxymoron.
Homophobia is an idiotic word. Translated literally it means fear of sameness. Islamophobia is ripped off from the word, homophobia. Farce following farce into cultural destruction.
More critically, the author completely misunderstands the concept behind the German term.
These people were not viewed as a danger to society or as morally hazardous or unfit.
They were simply the retarded, severely ill, crippled, etc. They were a drain on society's resources, not a moral hazard to it. Getting rid of them was like putting down a sick dog. No animus involved, just practicality.
OTOH, their true enemies (Jews, commies, socialists, Jehovah's Witnesses, Roma, etc.) were a great danger to the moral health of the State. They were evil, not inadequate. In fact, the Jews were dangerous largely because they were so competent. The equally "sub-human" Slavs weren't considered as great an initial priority for extermination precisely because they were incompetent. Or so the Nazis thought.
The two concepts eventually merged to some extent, but initially they were entirely different.

True, but truth has only mattered to Satan in that it must be obscured. YOU MUST PRAISE the queers for their courage or whatever, and endorse their behavior as a good thing or YOU are evil. What is right is wrong, what is good is bad. The current “winners” of this world write the news/history.
In this threat-managed or threat-free society, avoiding pain is not much of a concern when confronted with the guilt and shame free smorgasbord of opportunities for seeking pleasure.
Unfortunately, to all things a season and even this "good" we've been creating must come to and end. Our wants and desires are building this new societal norm on a shaky biological foundation.
Continually evolving, sexually transmitted diseases have been with us since the beginning, hitting the promiscuous and, for lack of a better word, the deviant (using parts other than designed) the hardest.
When the next truly frightening such disease comes along like AIDS did, or an old one evolves beyond the worst post-pubescent nightmares, those aspects you speak to will be hard reset back to "SAFE MODE" individually across the board, as only mortal fear and mass paranoia are capable of doing.
I know two things for certain: there is a cycle to everything and all bubbles pop, even our "new" enlightenment.
