I’d say a guy gaining 25 lbs in a month is more than propaganda. There’s truth in there - like if you eat fast food all the time you will probably get fat. If you don’t believe me go sit in front of a McDonald’s drive thru and look at the people ordering... (I have to sit and do surveillance pretty often and follow many of them to fast food restaurants so I’ve more than my fair share seeing their customers...: )

After that video was out someone else went to McD’s all the time and made their own video. They lost weight. How? They chose the menu items and ate wisely.

He did not gain weight because of McD’s, he gained weight because he ate like a pig and made stupid choices about what to eat.

No it was propaganda. Part of his “study” included ending all his exercise. Doesn’t matter where you’re eating, if you up your intake and reduce your burn weight will be gained. There’ve been a few rebuttal documentaries where the people kept their existing exercise regimen and controlled their intake while eating every meal at McDs and actually lost weight.

I recommend you see the movie Fathead.

"A comedian replies to the "Super Size Me" crowd by losing weight on a fast-food diet while demonstrating that almost everything you think you know about the obesity "epidemic" and healthy eating is wrong."

This guy demolishes Spurlock's faulty, biased documentary by eating every meal at McDonald for thirty days, and loses weight and sees his "bad cholesterol" level drop! Watch it, it's quite elucidating.

Did you know Spurlock created his documentary in part because his girlfriend was a vegan, with a vegan food business she wanted to advertise. And guess what, the girlfriend's not a vegan anymore because it was bad for her health!
