“I’ve been in bars since I quit drinking and have never expected or had anyone slip alcohol to me. Crap like this isn’t even remotely funny.”

I have a feeling someone is going to learn that the hard way. I have serious doubts this company will exist very long

Slipping dope in the cookies is a serious crime, as it should be.

You realize these THC-infused chocolate bars are 100% legal in Colorado, at least if sold in the proper circumstances?

Besides, who said it was intentional?

this story reveals what appears to be an intentional poisoning of multiple unwitting persons.

Do you know what libel is?

“Besides, who said it was intentional?”

Yup, it’s possible that it was accidental. Perhaps a worker somewhere down the manufacturing or distribution chain was high on pot and made the mistake.

Potheads are far from perfect when under the influence.

So far nobody seem to have made the key point mentioned in the article:

‘”They were giving out samples and they made sure to tell us that the samples are just a sample of their chocolate, that doesn’t have any THC in it, and the guy went so far as to let us know if we came into the store, the ones in the store would taste different,” Jones said.”

I personally wouldn’t touch anything in an area called “Pot Pavilion”, but the above statement assuring customers that it did not contain THC, when in fact it did, should make it a crime.

I don’t know anything about libel other than what I learned in law school, then studying for the bar exam, and a couple of insignificant matters I have handled in private practice.

Do you have any published cases or treatises you’ve written on the subject?

The people who did that should be arrested and charged with aggravated assault or something

I really think your disposition would improve if you would try a modest 1/16 portion of one of those. I haven’t myself, yet, but will when they start selling the edibles around here. Or maybe I’ll try a vape but definitely not smoking the stuff.

No, I will never try it. I will never approve of it. I will never approve of poisoning people without their consent, it should be a felony what was done there.

I also will never visit Colorado, although it used to be a dream trip for me.

Anyone who would consume an entire pot candy bar at once is likely dizzy and confused to begin with.

Alright, that’s enough. First, you wrongfully accuse me of libel without understanding what I wrote (”the appearance of intent”). Then you launch a gratuitous personal attack and call me a liar, foolish, and stupid.

This is no longer the Free Republic I joined so many years ago.
