Should have done it a week ago, frankly.
Sen. John Walsh, D-Mont., announced Thursday that he is dropping out of the Senate race after it became clear that he could not overcome the fallout from a plagiarism scandal.
The 2007 research paper from my time at the U.S. Army War College has become a distraction from the debate you expect and deserve, Walsh said in a statement.
Distraction. Yes, I imagine that plagiarism and academic fraud probably would qualify as such. As to the plagiarists replacement, well I dont know whats more depressing for Democrats: that their best hope to replace Walsh was Gov. Brian Im totally straight but I can still detect gay people on sight Schweitzer; or that Schweitzer doesnt dare walk into that buzzsaw.
I respectfully decline to seek the Senate nomination. Many thanks to John Walsh & I'll support whoever the next nominee turns out to be.

Not, of course, that I really care why the Democratic party leadership is gritting its teeth, of course. Just that theyre doing so. I am not yet a Buddha.

REPEAL THE 17TH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“Breaking: Sen. John Walsh (D, Montana) cuts and runs.”
It’s because he cuts and pastes.

I think that’s the post of the day! hahahahahaha
Too bad the plagiarist-in-chief Biden didn’t do the same.
We need eleven more of these at least. ;-]
Amen.
What is the quid pro quo for getting Walsh to resign. I’m sure whatever it is, it will be the taxpayers who foot the bill
Take the 19th with it went it goes.
Thanks! lol
But I have the feeling the writers who wrote that headline had this pun in mind.
Trust me. He would not be cutting and running were he not to be stripped by the Army War College of his master’s degree and were the Montana Army National Guard not investigating other actions he took to rise to become the adjutant general of the Montana National Guard.
afraid that’ll never happen now ..but boy, did it change things (for the worse)
My...that was easy.
Must be a lot more behind that. Just a little plagiarism is normally a bad news cycle, that’s all. Over in 3 days.
yes - repeal the 17th

Absolutely!!! LOL
IMHO
All turds stink.
A photo of the plaque at The War College shows Walsh’s branch to be Ordinance. Yet, today, on the news, they had a photo of him wearing Infantry brass? How did an Ordinance Office come to command an Infantry battalion? What kind of shenanigans have they had going on in the Montana National Guard?
