I had a love affair with the 7X57MM but couldn’t find many left-handed actions for it. It came from so many nights reading reloading manuals.
Then, an old friend, long gone, asked me, what is the difference between .277 and .284?

Still, the Mauser name is magical. Right there with Browning.

Some people say the Mauser mil action is too slow for a fast second shot.
I say don’t miss with the first shot.
Several years ago I thought about getting a .270 made up on a Mauser action, just never got around to it.

I’ve flirted around with the ‘lesser’ calibers and have settled on the old ‘odd 6’. I’m no longer an active mammal hunter but still get a satisfying thump out of my M1 Springfield and Model 70 at the range.

Me too Max, Iraq Army cut and ran without a blink! Cowards and traitors to their own people, as well as their government.... Left all the military equipment as well. Which evidences they really have no intentions of fighting their own war.
ISIS are the very same beasts that are in Syria doing all that brutality everybody’s been grumbling about....When are people going to understand these people are killers who are intent on conquering and killing any in their way. They are out to do this throughout the world.
