With the new Iraqi government, Christians are considered a potential enemy by both Sunni and Shia alike when election time rolls around. Saddam tolerated them, so the Shiite mobs drive them out of their districts, due to the stereotype that Christians will side with those who tolerated them in te elections. Then in the Shiite, well, they don’t want anyone to vote against their guys. It’s twisted it would be like states genociding those who vote against the party majority.
There’s already been relief to the mountain, some airlifted off as well..... and the Kurds have retaken areas...
