What a position to be in, when the Israelis have to ask the Germans to ‘watch their back’. I say that in jest, observing the irony, and knowing most modern day Germans have moved on from that old dangerous way of thinking.

There were international monitors in place in the Sinai and Ghaza from 1956 to 1967. Came the threat of war, they skeedadled on May 20. http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/History/unefwith.html
