Unwavering Support of Israel Harms U.S. Interests, Encourages Extremism (He's serious!)
The New York Times ^ | August 6, 2014 | Professor Rashid Khalidi, Columbia University

Posted on 08/06/2014 2:29:34 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

The blatant partiality of the United States in favor of Israel has already turned the words “peace process” into a bitter joke. Over many decades, American indulgence of Israel has blighted prospects of any resolution of the conflict with the Palestinians. Consequently, occupation has been entrenched and Israeli colonization of the West Bank and East Jerusalem has metastasized, going from under 200,000 illegal settlers in 1991 to over 600,000 today.

This partiality only increases when Israel goes to war. By guaranteeing Israel impunity in its military actions, the United States has contributed massively to the bloodshed in Gaza in recent years and in Lebanon in 2006. With $3.1 billion in military aid annually, Israel already has overwhelming superiority in firepower, thanks to top-of-the-line U.S. weapons, such as F-16 fighter-bombers, Apache helicopters and Patriot missiles. Beyond this, it enjoys U.S. intelligence support, as is shown by the latest revelation in the Edward Snowden documents of high-level cooperation between U.S. and Israeli intelligence agencies against “Palestinian terrorism,” U.S. arms resupply during battle (spare parts for missiles and 120-millimeter mortar rounds and 40-millimeter grenades were delivered immediately last week) and wall-to-wall diplomatic backing, such that the Security Council has been virtually immobilized for weeks.

The United States is so closely aligned with Israel as to be effectively a co-belligerent. It is thus not fit to serve as a peacemaker....

Notice that he never mentioned Hamas?

Rashid Khalidi, the Edward Said professor of Arab studies at Columbia University and editor of the Journal of Palestine Studies, is the author of “Brokers of Deceit: How the U.S. Has Undermined Peace in the Middle East.”

Professor Rashid Khalidi is also on a 2003 tape that the LA Times refuses to air with Obama allegedly making anti-Israel statements along with the rest of the guests.

This idiot really believes violent jihadists have something to offer the world? The only purpose they could possibly have is to help government cull the herds. Death is the typical thing they deal in.

Israels neighbors could have peace today if they would stop trying to kill Jews at every opportunity.

The simple truth is Israels neighbors would rather have war, death and suffering than let Jews live in Israel.

So war, death and suffering they get.

Lessee.
We can support a republic that tolerates all religions, and all races.
Or we can support a bunch of monarchies and dictatorships that slaughter folks internally and externally to enforce and spread their state religion of Islam.
Not really a hard choice. In any conflict between a civilized man and a savage, support the civilized man. Feel free to talk to me when Egypt and Saudi Arabia allow Christian Churchs to be built. Until then, Go Israel!

Remember, Khalidi’s the guy on the tape that LA Times has been sitting on for six years to cover for Obama.

The blatant partiality of Professor Rashid Khalidi, Columbia University and the New York Times in favor of the Palestinians has already turned the words “peace process” into a bitter joke. Over many decades, indulgence of "Palestinians" by Leftist "Professors" like Khalidi, and the Israel hating Leftists at the New York Times, has blighted prospects of any resolution of the conflict with the Palestinians. Consequently, the "Palestinian" death cults like Hamas and Fatah have become entrenched, and their desire to totally eliminate Israeli as a country continues to result in the needless deaths of their own people.

This partiality by Leftist "Professors" and the New York Times only increases when Israel goes to war. By guaranteeing Israel is blamed for defending itself, these Leftists have contributed massively to the bloodshed in Gaza in recent years and in Lebanon in 2006. With Billions of Western funds spent by the Hamas and Fatah leadership on themselves, while their people never see "even a smidgeon" of the funds, peace is not now, nor will it ever be, of any interest to that leadership.

The Leftist "Professors" like Khalidi, and the Israel hating Leftists at the New York Times are so closely aligned with Hamas and Fatah as to be effectively co-belligerents. They are thus not fit to serve as sources for any unbiased and rational discussion of peace....

Yeah. I note how the US favored the UK over NAZI Germany way back when. That obviously stoked German extremism.

One of Obama’s “but” buddies. Everytime he says that Israel has the right to exist, he says “but” and lists a hundred reasons why it shouldn’t.

Obama’s puppet-mouth at Columbia, his old home away from home.

Columbia University lost its bearings and reputation when it took big bucks from the Islamiicsts to hire Edward Said and call him professor. The chair that bears his name is one of lies, a la kitman and taquiia - the Muslim directive to lie to non-Muslims. Edward Said spawned the likes of Rashid Khalid. These and their brother jihadists is other universities that sell their souls to Islamic propagandists are a blight on Western Universities. They are there to try to brainwash academe. They’ve been at it for forty years. Some slightly deranged among non-Muslims were brainwashed to hate themselves, their religion and their country. Critical thinking and a course in logic would have served them better.

Once the apologists took over the field of Islamic Studies, the ‘Greek-studying of the Barbarian’ nature of Western anthropologetics and archaeology disappeared. There was no inherent skepticism and dispassionate study anymore.
