According to CBS This Morning host Gayle King on Monday, unless an illegal alien is doing something "illegal," Americans should leave him or her alone. Mike Hogan from Vanity Fair appeared on the program to discuss a new poll about ethical dilemmas and how people respond. Guest host Vinita Nair wondered, "Who's more likely to report an illegal immigrant living next door?"
Hogan discussed the responses of Republicans, Democrats and independents. He then quoted an off-air discussion: "I think Gayle [King] in the green room said, 'As long as they're not doing anything illegal, you know, let them live.'" Standing by her comments, King reiterated, "That's right. That's right." Hogan added, "Leave them alone." [See video below. MP3 audio here.]

So, to reiterate, unless illegal immigrants are breaking the law, they shouldn't be bothered?
A transcript of the August 4 exchange is below:
8:13
GAYLE KING: Mike Hogan, Vanity Fair's digital director, is here with more with more results from a poll that looks at our ethics.
...
VINITA NAIR: Immigration is obviously something people are really debating a lot right now, especially when it comes to party lines between Republicans and Democrats. Who's more likely to report an illegal immigrant living next door?
MIKE HOGAN: Well, not surprisingly, Republicans are more likely to report illegal immigrants. But nobody is terribly likely to do it. Thirty five percent of Republicans said that they would. Only 22 percent of Democrats and 23 percent of independents. Fifty seven percent of Republicans said they would not report somebody living next door, 74 percent percent of Democrats. And I think Gayle in the green room said, "As long as they're not doing anything illegal, you know, let them live."
GAYLE KING: That's right. That's right.
HOGAN: Leave them alone. [Laughs.]
The problem here is that indeed 99.9% of them really are doing something ILLEGAL to manage here. She is showing her ignorance on this topic.
Ms. King is lucky to have a “sugar mama” in Oprah, who reportedly played a major role in helping her get the morning show gig. In fact, if you follow her career trajectory, most of her big breaks came after she became Oprah’s best friend. Otherwise, her only claim to fame would be a couple of anchoring stints in Kansas City and Hartford. She is definitely not network material, but then again, no one watches CBS in the morning, continuing that 60-year tradition.
Oprah’s best friend, Gayle King, lists 10,433-square-foot house in Greenwich, CT for $7.475M
Public records show that the Colonial-style house, at 37 Richmond Hill Road in Greenwich, is owned by a Chicago-based LLC company called Overground Railroad LLC. That same LLC owns scads of other properties — all of which are commonly known as belonging to Winfrey — including houses in Tennessee, Georgia, suburban Chicago and Merrillville, Indiana, and a lakefront condominium unit in Milwaukee, Wis.
As we noted on March 24, Gayle now is an empty-nester, and she now lives in a $7,100,000 penthouse condominium unit in the 36-story Place 57 building at 207 E. 57th Street in Manhattan. Records show that the Sophie’s Penthouse LLC company (owned either by King, Winfrey, or both of them) closed on the deal on March 10. Check out an online listing sheet for the Greenwich house — complete with photos — here.
“Shell post a hashtag on social media #DOSOMETHING”
And in that case, the Latrino read it, thought the daughter’s name was “Something” and returned and he did the daughter again.
At arraignment, Mr. Latrino said “She asked for it.”
Note to LomaLinda Libtards, had the accused said “She axed fo it” the perp likely was an Urban Feral.
You can’t reason with a fool.
You have to be liberal to understand how illegals being here illegally is really not illegal.
Remember when the press tried to call illegals “entrants” ?
and refugees and exiles..
Yeah but an illegal alien is still just an illegal alien..
and nobody is “undocumented”
theres a record of them somewhere...
I have the same policy on armed robbers - unless they are doing something illegal, I won’t report them. [I doubt that Gayle King would understand my point.]
Often a criminal record too.
yeah well in a comments section of a newspaper a couple of weeks ago a liberal answered a concern about the diseases that the illegal aliens were bringing in by saying that the children from Guatemala were more disease free than American children because EVERYONE in Guatemala had been inoculated ...
so right there for a start is a record with their legal name on it...
Unfortunately, subsequent court decisions by courts of appeal and SCOTUS have watered down the statute from one of criminal liability to it being simply a civil violation.
It’s even worse, when you fly, you get strip searched , your water bottle confiscated, have to show a photo ID and get to walk thru the x-ray barefoot and holding up your pants. Illegals get to come right on board.
You mean like being here illegally? LOL!

Gayle, you ignorant slut.
If they are breathing in US airspace.....
I am a Dreamer.
Every day I Dream of trespassers going back to their legal birth home to live a happy life
we’ll just let them all congregate in front of your house, ‘kay, gail?
Gayle maybe onto something here...Commit one crime, in the eyes of the law, one gets a mulligan...I am sure that that is what she is thinking...
