Joe Biden Jumps On Jim Brady’s Coffin To Call For More Gun Curbs [That didn't take long]
Daily Caller ^ | 5:10 PM 08/04/2014 | Neil Munro

Vice President Joe Biden used the just-announced death of a former White House press secretary James Brady to call for more gun control.

Brady was wounded during the 1981 attempted assassination of President Ronald Reagan, and subsequently became a much-lauded advocate for gun control. ..Edit.. Biden, however, made a big deal about Brady’s post-assassination advocacy, perhaps because’s he needs to rally support from gun-control groups prior to the 2016 nomination race, and ended his statement with a shout-out to a gun-control group.

Leave to the nation’s Gun Grabbing socialists on the left to try and take advantage of every opportunity to advance their Anti-Freedom agenda.

Can they get any more shameless?

Way a minute, Mr. Batin', I thought the Brady Law was supposed to end gun violence.

Are you admitting it was a failure? How disgraceful.

More gun control??

In the meantime, the little pr*** who shot Reagan and Brady is running around DC on prison leave...because he's such a nice boy.

Our laws are wrong. Shooting a President....Life without Parole!!

These parole/prison boards are nuts!!

The only reason he got shot is because Reagans people refused to listen to the secret service and allowed psychos like Hinkley to stand 15 feet away as they were exiting the hotel. That’s close enough where Hinkley could have used a flame thrower if he wanted. Guns had nothing to do with it. Hinkley also got within one foot of Carter when he was POTUS. What does it matter if he uses a gun? He could have used any other method and still caused massive damage. He could have set off a bomb, would the gun opponents have preferred that?

[Mister] Obama’s statement was more reserved.

Could this be by design? (Think Mutt and Jeff routine, here.)

Let Xao Bi Den and 0bama lead by example. Let them disarm and dismiss their SS protection detail and go around as disarmed and helpless as they want the rest of us to be.

Biden “calls for” gun control...Little Johnny “called for” Phillip Morris...smoking has proven unhealthy, and so is “gun control”.

That’s all part of the Gun Grabber Two-step:

1. Lie or imply there are aren’t any controls on guns with talking points like “Easy access to guns” or “A country awash in guns” or this outright LIE from Mr. Ed:

Gun Laws in Chicago ‘Don't Even Exist,’ Sputters Clueless Ed Schultz
http://newsbusters.org/blogs/jack-coleman/2013/01/07/gun-laws-chicago-dont-even-exist-sputters-clueless-ed-schultz

NBC’s Ed Schultz: Gun Laws Don't Exist In Chicago!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_YgTJhKe7s&feature=player_detailpage

2. Solemnly promise that that their brandy spanking new laws will have a miraculous effect on the problem AND that their ultimate goal IS NOT gun Confiscation.

Then as soon as the ink is dry on whatever new laws are passed, immediately start harping that the new law is just a ‘A first step’ or a ‘baby step’.

And as soon as the next serious crisis take place that gun grabbers can exploit, head right back to step 1 and start the whole process all over again.

The bottom line with all this is once again what was the real cause of the shooting? Mental illness. And once again someone blames the gun and ignores the REAL cause. Like I said in my post above, if it wasn't a gun it could have been anything else and much worse, from a bomb to a flamethrower. And if people don't think psychos make flame throwers think again.

This is a guy preparing to burn to death a woman in an elevator with a home made flamethrower. People 2 buildings away said they could hear her screaming before she died.

The heat was so great the nut burned the skin off his face.

Anybody calling for the banning of flamethrowers here?

I remember the panic at the ABC news desk that day! When it was mentioned that the gun had been bought in Dallas, news anchor Frank Reynolds threw his hands in the air and yelled..”AGH! DALLAS!”

To a Dem lib, Dallas was still a cursed city because of Nov 22, 1963.

Well even now with the diseases we’re blindly letting into the country, he could just coughed or shook his hand to do the deed.

Just sayin..

I’m surprised George Bush Sr. didn’t pardon the little scumbag. Seeing as the Bushes and Hincklys are all such good friends. The more I learn about the Bush family, the less I like. They’re as evil as the Kennedys and less incompetent and drunk.

Exactamundo!

If they are so concerned about guns, let them be the first to get rid of them.

***their ultimate goal IS NOT gun Confiscation.***

Nelson T. ‘Pete’ Shields
Founder of Handgun Control, Inc. (Now THE BRADY CENTER)

“I’m convinced that we have to have federal legislation to build on. We’re going to have to take one step at a time, and the first step is necessarily — given the political realities — going to be very modest.

Of course, it’s true that politicians will then go home and say, ‘This is a great law. The problem is solved.’ And it’s also true that such statements will tend to defuse the gun-control issue for a time.

So then we’ll have to strengthen that law, and then again to strengthen that law, and maybe again and again. Right now, though, we’d be satisfied not with half a loaf but with a slice. Our ultimate goal — total control of handguns in the United States — is going to take time.

My estimate is from seven to ten years. The problem is to slow down the increasing number of handguns sold in this country. The second problem is to get them all registered. And the final problem is to make the possession of all handguns and all handgun ammunition — except for the military, policemen, licensed security guards, licensed sporting clubs, and licensed gun collectors — totally illegal.”

-Pete Shields, Chairman and founder, Handgun Control Inc., “A Reporter At Large: Handguns,” The New Yorker, July 26, 1976, 57-58

“Yes, I’m for an outright ban [on handguns].”

-Pete Shields, Chairman emeritus, Handgun Control, Inc., 60 Minutes interview

HCI, around 1984, came out in favor of a ban on semi-auto rifles and shotguns.
