While the Tea Party is busy lining their pockets, the rest of the Republicans are actually trying to get things done.

So sayeth a RINO who now makes his money as a "consultant", funded by corporations out to destroy the Tea Party. He was outed in January by the NY Times for his "Tangled Role in GOP War Over the Tea Party".

In unrelated news, it’s now obvious why Scarborough was back at work Friday morning. Morning Joe, with Mika as the lone hostess, garnered ratings (if you can call them that) of 270,000...ouch.

trying to get things done

means, of course, trying to install a bureaucratic totalitarian State in cooperation with the Parent company which is the Democrat Party.

Like the GOPe hasn’t been grifting us for years!!! And, we still don’t have a decent candidate. I’ll stand with the TEA Party, Steve. We know where you stand.

My previous tagline read “I can live with two or three ‘unviable’ candidates if they take out incumbents during the primary.”

Thank you , thank you, thank you for such a hard-hitting exposé! I had NO idea that politicians were ever involved with “grifting”. I’m just so stunned I can hardly even type this thank you. Heretofore, to the best of my understanding, all politicians throughout the history of our country have always been honest and deeply concerned about the spiritual and material comfort and happiness of our citizens and concerned about little else, especially not their own wealth and re-election. And now I find out that after all these centuries CONSERVATIVE Republicans are the TRUE culprits of evilness because they’ve apparently broken the ancient mold of political honestness and for the first time in history our country now might finally have politicians that are “grifters”. I tell you, I’m stunned, just stunned.

270,000 viewers. But how many were really watching the show or just had the TV on?

The GOPe is not the solution to the problem.

Steve needs to STFU!

We now have a GOP that has, from the beginning of “O’s” tenure in the WH, done nothing but cover itself with s^%$ in its wholesale effort at ‘bipartisanship’!

They should be ashamed of themselves.

Getting things done must mean “growing government, increasing intrusiveness, and reduction of individual liberty” in their lexicon.

Of course, this is the opposite of what the Tea Party really stands for.

I found it curious that they describe “leave us alone” as “lining their pockets”.

The Tea Party Movement exists because of Republican representatives who strayed from their oath to uphold the Constitution.

I see this poor fellow, Steve LaTourette, holds the mistaken belief that the Tea Party Movement wishes to join the Republican Party. He has it backwards; the Tea Party invites the Republican Political Party Candidates to join them by restoring their Conservative values and upholding their oath to the Constitution.

I ask anyone following this thread to offer evidence that the Tea Party Movement is asking for anything from the government other than they act within the legislative powers enumerated in the Constitution.

From Wikipedia, every leftists favorite source of info, “Steven C. “Steve” LaTourette (born July 22, 1954) is an American politician who served as the U.S. Representative for Ohio’s 19th congressional district and then Ohio’s 14th congressional district from 1995 to 2013. He is a member of the Republican Party. On July 30, 2012, it was reported that he would retire at the end of his term and not seek re-election. He subsequently co-founded a lobbying firm.[1]”

From an article, “Susan LaTourette never moved to Washington with her husband when he was elected to the House of Representatives in the Republican sweep of 1994. Instead, she chose to stay at home, in suburban Madison, Ohio, with their children. Last October (2003), she said, she was startled to receive his telephone call to tell her “he had a girlfriend and wanted a divorce.”

Susan LaTourette told the Hill she never really knew where her husband lived in Washington. “I think Washington corrupts people,” she said. “He was a wonderful husband and father, the best I ever saw, until he went there. I told him I was trying to get him out of the dark side — all that power and greed and people kissing up to them all the time. Now he’s one of them. All they care about is getting reelected. I hate them all.”

There is a thread of truth in this article, but it is not the one being highlighted.

There are lots of people jumping on the tea party bandwagon and a few are doing pretty well by making unrealistic claims and fielding weak candidates.

This is the growing pains a movement has to go through to establish itself. The main conservative movement will flush out these pretenders and saboteurs as we go along.

This is a variation of Alinsky's rule #4:

•RULE 4: “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.”
You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules.
Nobody is a 110% conservative or even 100%.

One of the things I like about my congressman is the fact that he wants to be at home more than in Washington. Last I knew he was still steeping in his DC office after 2 terms.
