An open letter to the political right

Dear “Conservatives” and “Establishment Republicans,”

I write today in the hope you all can get over whatever anger, distrust or bruised egos this primary season and political year has caused you. We on the right need to unite and send a message to progressives by unambiguously retaking the U.S. Senate in November.

We all have some problem with what’s happened so far. Someone we liked lost a primary. Someone we didn’t won. Some piece of legislation we hate passed; some other piece we liked did not. No one is completely happy, but we all know things can get much worse – and will if we don’t put aside what divides and do what we must for the cause of liberty.

The political right has a habit of letting the perfect be the enemy of the good. This is exemplified by libertarians, and it’s the fast track to political irrelevancy.

Libertarians will hate that I’ve placed them on the right of the political spectrum, and indeed many of today’s libertarians indeed have no political home and are all over the map. Today, the term covers everything from the great Reason Magazine to big-government, socialized medicine-loving Bill Maher. The present day “libertarian” label can mean anything, so it means nothing.

But I’m not talking about those libertarians. I’m talking about the Ron Paul libertarians who were quite comfortable in a Republican Party with which they agreed on a majority of issues.

Back then, libertarians put aside their differences with conservatives and Republicans to work for the defeat of liberals and progressives. All three groups thrived, as did the nation. But now too many focus on the disagreements, the differences, and the scars that come with fighting for what we believe, win or lose.

Both sides have scars, but too many of us...

If we keep holding our nose, they don’t have to do anything about the stench. If we tell them we’re going to keep holding our nose, they sure as hell aren’t going to do anything about it.

Those of us who don’t have our heads up our butts don’t need to hold our noses.

“If the GOP wants my vote they need to attack the Democrats with at least the same ferver in which they go after Conservatives.”

And maybe you and others need to attack Democrats with at least the same ferver that you are attacking the GOP.

We have attacked the democrats. Who did your good buddies Corynyn and McConnel attack?

You’re in league with backstabbers and quislings. You’ve got no game. Buzz off.

“the last box is the only option.

Correcting for grammar and punctuation.”

Thanks for the help. Am on a diet and have started working out again. Looking for a particular type of lead dispenser, just in case things go bad. I have mountains to climb, kin to protect before I sleep.

If we hold the House and take the Senate, conservatives can and will rise up and take control of both.

Great Post. When a group is against everything many will join the cause.
If conservatives would define what the left is for (other than control of resources and power) it would be easier for others to reject it.

If they could have found dirt on Cruz or Gowdy they would already have destroyed them. I think the closet Dems in the
Gop-e will team up with the outed Dems but I also know that truth is on the side of Cruz and Gowdy and don’t think they can be stopped short of assassination, which I don’t rule out.

I know and watched what they did to McDaniel in Miss. and also remember in the Clinton years how busloads of blacks were moved from parish to parish to vote multiple times for the lard butted fake blonde named Mary something in La., who is still in the Senate. The famous recipient of cash for her state called the La. Purchase. I know how the trash plays the game, it was also done during Obama’s elections, holding up the military vote till after the election by not getting the ballots to them on time, Obama getting over 100% of the vote in some counties, electronic voting machines that switched your vote before your eyes, with no paper trail, absentee ballots tossed for Romney, counted for Obama. Franken and the sudden appearance of boxes of votes, suddenly claimed to be found when the race was very close. Black Panthers at the polling places with clubs scaring off the older voters who might have voted against Obama. I have seen and I will not forget.

Fragmenting the GOP will only help the Dems and will destroy the country in the end. I suspect anyone who advocates that we sit it out to be a Communist troll.

I will be watching the polls with my trusty little camera, and hope to witness and document the Dems voting early and voting often. Other than surrendering, what will you do?

You seriously believe those in the GOPe will allow anyone to break status quo? So you’re all for reelecting Corynyn after what happened?

I’ve spent years trying to fix this but every election cycle it’s “go along/get along.” I voted for McCain and Romney. There’s no way in hell I’m voting for Corynyn.

Oh, and I suspect anyone who accuses those who disagree them of being “communist trolls” to be “communist trolls.” Funny how that crap works, ain’t it? I mean shutting down your enemy with false accusations (such as the infamous “Race Card”) is pure Alinsky tactics! How about it “Hardy,” are you a “communist troll?”

The only people who would benefit from a fragmented GOP are the Dem/Communist bunch. That’s why I ask, who benefits?

Three months away from an election is not the time to purge the GOP-e (has that communist ring to it don’t it). Why could conservatives not take over the party if it gains both houses? Cruz would be hard to ignore when this happens by the MSM. Wish Palin had run for something.

There is no one who can match Cruz or Gowdy, and I see no reason for Bonehead to retain leadership in the future. There are only 6 or 8 true conservatives in the two houses but that is all we need.

Gowdy nor Cruz nor any other conservative will get the GOP nomination. And that’s two years more wasted.

The goal is not to make the GOP fragmented but to make it the third and irrelevant party as it fast becoming anyway.

Stop wasting time. I’m ready to write a few checks.

Tell me, if John Kerry, Hillary Clinton and Harry Reid suddenly changed party affiliation and gained the blessing of Rove and Corynyn, would you vote for them?

Take a good look at the RINOs. Are you certain they “oppose” the goals of the Democrats? We should have purged the RINOs several election cycles ago. I TRIED to rally our side to do just that; but no, we had to go along or the democrats would win.

Face reality, if we don’t do it now we might never have another chance and then the democrats will definitely win!

You’re fantasizing if you think McConnell is going to let Ted Cruz be Senate Majority Leader. McConnell wants Cruz gone.

So that’s what your type ends up with, McConnell types in the GOP leadership who have no desire to allow conservatives to hold any influence in party politics.

McConnell is bought and paid for and is doing the bidding of his masters who are oligarchs that pull the strings in whichever direction that increases their power over people, usually a leftward direction.

So when you vote for GOP establishment types you are in effect voting the way the puppet master oligarchs have designed it. Ergo, you play into their hands and become their fool.

According to our resident GOP Cheerleaders, it’s because Conservatives aren’t “electable.”

You see, McDaniel wasn’t “electable.” Thats why the GOPe colluded with democrats to steal the primary. They had to resort to election fraud to make sure their RINO won the primary. They couldn’t have an “unelectable” Conservative win!

I am not talking about the Presidency, I am speaking of control of the House and Senate, with Cruz and Gowdy in the leadership positions. That is where the last battle will be fought, after that there is no choice but the last box.

Three months from the election, we have only two choices, bought and paid for Repubs or deranged Dems. If your way is successful that leaves the Dems in control or both houses. How exactly can that turn out well?

Ping me when a conservative leads the house

It’s time for conservatives to be the second party

Cruz and howdy can follow or continue as minorities in the moderate party

Yeah, it’s funny how this crap happens towards the end of every freakin election cycle. The GOPe acts up and we’re told “we gotta hold the house/senate/picles!

Yep, it’s really funny. McConnell is funny, Corynyn is funny, McCain is funny, Romney is funny and you’re funny, too.

Notice that none of the pro GOPe posters said what really needs to be said if they were truly concerned with unity: I have a problem with the tea party primary winner in such and such race, but because I’m interested in GOP uniting against Democrats, I will do my utmost to get him elected, including voting for him.

Instead, we get this constant harping on how un-electable our candidates are within the same breath as asking for our vote for the GOPe primary winner! Well duh, of course they’re un-electable as the GOPe continues to trash our primary winners all the way through the general election! It’s now our turn to make their candidates (at least the ones that are deemed unacceptable to our side) un-electable. Until the GOPe pays the price for disunity, they will keep taking our side for granted no matter how many times they piss on us.

If they're so damned “unelectable” why would the GOPe need to commit election fraud?

If you're cheating in the primary then you're not actually representing your constituents. That means your constituents need to find someone else to represent them.
