It’s unlikely that United Mine Workers of America president Cecil Roberts thought he would be arrested protesting the energy policies of the very politician his union supported in 2008. But things have come full circle for coal miners, who now see President Obama’s climate agenda threatening their livelihoods.
Roberts and other UMWA members were arrested Thursday marching through Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, towards the federal building the Environmental Protection Agency was holding field hearings for a new rule that could very well force more coal mines and plants to shut down. …

I’m still sitting here wondering why, with gas prices having risen as much as they have, with the economy in the doldrums, and a whole host of other kitchen table issues, did these morons re-elect the Boy King? Have we, as a country, devolved into that many brain-dead people? Or have they really bought off on the “Free $hit Society? Then again, when you watch “Watters World” on Fox, you can really see that it probably has happened. The last “man/woman on the beach episode the best he got was one out of five questions answered correctly. Most were 0 for 5. Another generation with a few million illiterate Mexicans, and America will just go away.

Sadly, they got their marching orders from their union leaders when it was time to vote, and they followed the orders blindly without using their own heads. The same union leaders who are in it for the money and power, not for the benefit of their membership.

I was in Eastern Kentucky, heart of the mining country.
I was told that the grand mother of a union miner was quoted to have said.
“Well union or not, I just can’t vote for that boy with the funny name”
I read the entire article.
There isn’t even a hint the this union will switch its support to the GOP.
I have no sympathy for idiots. I support coal, but not because of this union.
