OK. I've been avoiding the "Sharknado" flics on general principal, but after all the interest that this silly movie seems to have generated, I think I've got to watch it.

Can't be any sillier than Attack of the Killer Tomatoes...

I think a lot of people tuned in to watch all those (semi) famous people in the cameos get eaten by sharks or killed in some other gruesome way.

“Attack of the Killer Tomatoes...”

You’re one of the 1st people I’ve heard mention that movie.
I saw that years ago and remember thinking it was funny. I think about it every now and then and would like to get a copy just to see if I still think it’s as funny as I did back then.

snip-

Ziering: “There were so many people clamoring for cameos in this movie. That was a tough thing for the director and the writer to decide. Who were we going to let be eaten? Everyone wanted to be eaten. It seems like it’s a badge of honor to have that on your IMDb account when it says “Man #2 eaten in ‘Sharknado.’”

Sure was awesome to see Robert Hays ( Airplane ) as a pilot once again.

The next one should be titled “Sharknado: The Reboot. Why Wait?”

Yeah, I ask myself the same question every time an old Cheech and Chong movie comes on the TV.

The Troma movies were awesome. As much as they were known for The Toxic Avenger series, my personal favorite was Surf Nazis Must Die!

The continuation of the fragmentaion of television audiences means smaller numbers are now "good" were they would have been failures a decade ago, not to mention two decades ago. They've definded audience numbers down.

Plus SyFy has neither the reach nor the audience of FOX.

SyFy would be thrilled with something that had Firefly like numbers every week.
