Why not a lever action? Much faster than a bolt and little difference in accuracy.

The lever actions are no where near as accurate as the Ruger 77/44. Most are lucky to get 4-5 inch groups at 100 yds, and many get that at 50 yds. The slow twist barrels on lever actions (1-38) just aren’t very accurate, especially with heavier bullets. Plus they aren’t made for mounting a scope.

The Ruger has scope mounts machined into the receiver and comes with custom rings made for the gun. The Ruger only weighs 5 1/4 lbs without the scope.
