A grieving Bronx family is stunned that the teen accused of sucker-punching their father and husband is being charged with a misdemeanor that could result in the suspect doing less than a year in jail.

Ildefonso Romero Jr. died days after a teenage boy allegedly sucker-punched him outside his home on Thieriot Avenue in Soundview on June 21. Witnesses said Romero had been protecting a girl from local teens who were apparently causing trouble in the street, and one of the teens punched Romero. […]

“This guy kills my father and he’s only gonna serve a year in jail? What kind of justice is that?” asked Noel Romero. …

...sucker-punched him outside his home...

Outside my home is a large field of Soy. I moved here from Seattle to insure I was less likely to shoot someone.

My daughter in law was home yesterday in their home (which they own) in Tacoma. She caught a guy cutting the back window screen to get in. In my case, there would have been a call to the Joe Biden advice. That would have impacted the rest of my life.

And yes, they’re getting a gun. Next time whoever is doing it will not get a “What are you doing?” They’ll get a face full of buckshot. Face. Full.

That's exactly where we are heading as a society once we reach a tipping point on the perception that the law provides justice.

The Rodney King and LAPD game can be played on a micro carefully targeted as well as a macro basis.

Using “How to speak Minnesotan” -

“a body wouldn’t blame a body for shooting this guy in the head when he gets out of jail”

More proof that they want to create “civil unrest” so they can have an excuse to kill people.

Black kid kills “white Hispanic”. Black DA slaps black killer on the wrist.

End of story.

That the “teen” was even charged at all is a step forward. The solution, if you want to call it that, is to move yourself, or to move them. The latter is what the Mexicans out west did. I also understand that circumstances prevent some from moving. The remedy to that is to be aware of your surroundings and environment each time you step off your front doorstep. Always carry something to help if it is nothing more than a sharpened number two lead pencil and do not allowing certain people within a certain distance of you without being prepared for them.

A State which refuses to administer justice will eventually find itself no longer in the “justice” business.

The people will cut out the ineffective middleman.

Of course, Obama will weigh-in on this, there will be organized protests in 40 major cities, and a national media outcry demanding “Justice for Ildefonso.” His wife will appear on Oprah and will be invited to speak at college seminars addressing the plague of youth violence. Kanye West will establish a scholarship in his name at Columbia University. /sarc

At the very least the charge should be involuntary manslaughter.

When the courts commit injustice like this, they are just begging for vendetta and blood feud. The dead man’s family and friends could relatively easily track down the killer and smite him. It could even be a “courtesy killing” by someone offended at the injustice, an even better prospect because it would leave the family free from legal retribution.

Bronx = New York. New York = extreme wacko liberalism.

Obviously the murderer is a member of a privileged minority group. Obviously no NY prosecutor is going to try to put it in jail.
