I always think of our British friends as being fans of lamb more than pork but I don’t have the statistics, lol! Of course, they do have the most wonderful bacon. I wish we could import some of it over all the Italian bacon we get here.

I think lamb might be more common as Sunday roasts, and holiday dinners, but pork pies are eaten every day!

I LOVE pork pies! I even learned how to make Melton Mawbray pie. I was just in Savannah Ga (saw more Purdue signs than Nunn!), and there is a place called Pie Society that makes excellent pork pies.

Wow! We have a place in NYC that sells all this good stuff - sausages, meat pies as well as all the fascinating Brit stuff. The name is slipping my memory at the moment - the store’s been the West Village for years.
