MEXICO CITY Gov. Jerry Brown suggested Monday that Texas Gov. Rick Perrys ordering of National Guard troops to the U.S.-Mexico border to address the surge in border crossings is misguided, urging politicians instead to heed the religious call
to welcome the stranger in addressing the crisis.
This is a human problem, and it has been the religious call of all religions to welcome the stranger, and its in that spirit that I believe the clergy can call the United States, Mexico and all the players to perhaps a higher response than might otherwise happen, Brown said on the first full day of his trade mission to Mexico.

I am not understanding this OPEN CALL from the libtards to DESTROY this nation!!! Always in the past this was never spoken out loud in the general public because the left knew they could never win elections on their favorite policies. I guess now the left believes it has a "compliant voting public" that cares nothing about preserving our CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC.

I welcome strangers through my front door after they politely knock not after they kick in my basement window. Liberals and Rinos must welcome strangers only if they kick in their basement window via breaking and entering. Must make sense to liberals and rinos that a polite knock at the front door means trouble and therefore that is the time to call for security. Liberals and Rinos certainly are crazy. Sane people could never live in their world.

Pelosi talks about the “divinity” in the kids, and Brown evokes the religious calling. Suddenly the party that is perpetually trying to stamp out all traces of God and religion is hearing the call?
Hypocrisy of the lowest sort.

Not one of these people none of the government officials and not any homeland security workers , not one pundit nor radio talk show hosts has one ounce of credibility
When just one of these lecturers, these theorists has only just one single illegal into their home to live with his wife and children and signs adoption papers to assimilate that illegal immigrant into his home and the US I MIGHT dream if thinking about considering holding an iota of credulity to his bloviations

Brown didn’t get “churchy”. Or at least I don’t see where he said “Christian” instead of “religious”, the latter of which can mean anything. (And his later statement calling for the “churches to play an important role” is not the same as his being “religious”.)
