Talk of impeachment was cooked up by a White House desperate for something to rally Democrats ahead of November’s elections, House Speaker John A. Boehner said Tuesday, flatly ruling out any action on the controversial suggestion.
“We have no plans to impeach the president. We have no future plans,” Mr. Beohner said. “Listen, it’s all a scam started by Democrats at the White House.”

Impeachment proceedings would be snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. It would galvanize the left. It would divide the Republicans, and it would not result in a conviction in the senate.
It would be a political disaster, which is why the leftists want so badly for it to happen. I don’t even believe Obama is planning to make these immigration steps.
Let’s all donate to the Democrat Party so that the Democrats won’t. That’ll teach ‘em.

I really don’t want him impeached. It would give his contemporaries unending ammunition about how racists attacked and prosecuted him.
I’d much rather that in the clear light, out of the magnificence of the One, people realized that this country made ONE BIG A$$ MISTAKE AGAIN - they voted for him twice.
The LAST thing we need to do in the midst of danger abroad and massive problems at home is center our conversation on Barack Hussein Obama.
Just turn both houses red in November and let him play golf.

What victory are you speaking of? Boehner and the rest of the GOP losership have made it clear they will not substantively engage Obama while he is in the WH.
impeachment is just an indictment.

I think Bonehead is right. Impeachment would stir up the base. Go after Obama for High Crimes and Misdemeanors after November.
This is a preemptive strike by the Democrats because they know obama is preparing to make illegal moves (such as amnesty via EO) that are so egregious that the Republicans will either be forced to either impeach or acquiesce to total irrelevancy.
Obama will be impeached if and when the American people take to the streets and demand he be impeached and removed from office.
40 percent of Americans are at that point but 40 is not enough.
When the time comes, the Democrats will be the ones to take him down.
