People like Robinson live within a fantasy world in their minds. If the Government can only pass one more law the world will be rainbows and unicorns! If the little people will only listen to us and obey us their lives would be so much better.
These folks are isolated from the real world and have no clue what an everyday life for a regular person is like.
The average legal gun owner buys a gun; goes to a range or other place to practice; learns gun safety and the local hunting laws and is responsible for his actions. The average criminal gun owner gets an illegal gun or steals a gun, never goes to a range or learns how to handle the gun safely. In a gun fight, he is usually, but not always, the one laying on the ground bleeding.
So “Shoot It Out” is OK with me; I’ve been in a war zone and been shot at by people with more training and moral convictions than the thugs and malcontents that constitute the criminal element.

Gunfight at the DC corral? What is DC now? Eugene thinks that if guns are in the hands of sane citizens, they’ll be more crime. Instead, they’ll be LEAS crime.

3. Most black folks are NOT anti-gun (note the last 2 amendment case to be won in the supreme court. The plaintiff was a black man from chicago)

So what does one call these pundits who predict, over and over, the blood flowing in the streets where ever public carry has been allowed, only to find that the rate of violent crime goes down. Their rate of accuracy is second only to that of the annual psychic predictions for the upcoming year, found in the Weekly World News!

Several years ago, we had an unusual outbreak of drive-by shootings in one part of town. The Council Member for that district had the Public Works Dept put speed bumps all over the streets there. The reason he gave was that it would “mess up” the aim of the shooters.
He was voted out the next election. Not because he was an idiot, but because of the huge number of speed bumps that the people living there experienced every day. The Public Works Dept ended up removing most of the speed bumps after the election.
Robinson is a freakin’ moron. He’s a regular on the editorial page of our local Gannett newsrag.
