No info on the parents, but the news report showed the grandmother who said she had just gotten out of the hospital.

Good thing they took the other kids into "protective custody." /sarc

The foster father’s partner, a 26-year-old man who is also a foster parent, was in the backyard when they came home and didn’t realize the young girl was not inside.

What is up with all these stories over the last few weeks of children dying in hot vehicles? Are the parents really that stupid?

I have raised a 10 month old. The silence is hard to ignore. They’re never silent except when sleeping.

This is a bit difficult to understand.

I guess there are two foster parents, both men. Must be a couple. But the writing is crappy. Too much change the World not enough Who, What, When, Where, How and Why in J-School anymore.

The tragedy is that this happens. It has happened for years. It is almost always unintentional. I fear we just hear more about it today than we have in the past.

Back in the stone age of the public school system, most schools had a course called ‘home-economics’ I think it was learning the basic skills one needed to be a housewife. That was either done away with or changed a great deal. Maybe those classes really were helping girls learn how to care for an infant. Boys should learn too, so they can offer assistance.
The Court System should offer mandatory training programs if they don’t already. Similar to driver’s ed.

Both realized at the same time the baby was still in the car when "something on TV" jogged their memories, Ojile said, without elaborating.

Call me a homophobe, but guys make terrible moms.

Totally on purpose. Every single time. Car seats are big and impossible to ignore as one is driving.

Time to start prosecuting these parents. Do that and these killers will have to think of other ways to kill their children.
