Obama: What's legal might not be right for US
CNBC ^ | July 25, 2014 | by Everett Rosenfeld

President Barack Obama said Thursday that American companies performing tax "inversions" are not doing right by their country.

Obama said that these companies, which buy foreign firms to technically change their tax domicile to a country with a lower tax rate, benefit from America's university system and infrastructure, but then turn around and "game the system." He told CNBC exclusively that, despite the legality of this corporate practice, inversions are not fair.

"You are an American company. You continue to benefit in all kinds of ways from being an American company," the president said. "It is true that there are a lot of things that may be legal that probably aren't the right thing to do by the country."

Then why have laws at all?

Let's just designate a bunch of feral government "Ministers of Right" to oversee everything!

Just like that law your Admin. is hiding behind to allow criminal invading hoards to flood across our southern border and not be deported but instead snuck into our communities and dumped in the dead of night...? LIKE THAT Mr. President?

It reminds me of a saying about the Mafia:

If you catch them, you eat them until there’s only a hollow shell left and then you get rid of them. If you can’t catch them then you eat them on the run.

That was in reference to how the Mafia would move in and take over a company and eat it out until the owner’s and shareholders had nothing left of value.

I can see how our Kleptocrats in Washington learned well the tricks of the trade.

Maybe we could build a fence at our borders - make it a double fence - with perhaps a moat, to prevent companies from leaving.

As long has disgusting people hold the reigns of power in a united economic system, we will never be free. Does that make sense? If we try to isolate ourselves and not participate, we’ll be cut-off, starved. The future we’re leaving for our kids is frightening, and we should be ashamed.

“For the First time in US history you have a True Criminal as President”

he’s drunk on power and hubris.

he would have been impeached already if it wasn’t for you know what. Everyone is paralyzed by it.

This has been the game of the British left for a long time now, and it is being imported here. The BBC has even coined a phrase: “tax avoidance scheme”, in order to cast a criminal shadow over a legal act. The fascist left can’t get these legal deductions, allowances or tools repealed, so they are instead trying to make using them the object of social scorn and cause companies to fear the threat of a public relations crapstorm.

How does liberalism make doing business harder in the U.S.? Let me count the ways:

Higher corporate taxes
Higher energy costs
Higher mandated benefits for employees
More environmental regulations
Higher minimum wages
Increased power of labor unions
Increased financial regulations
Increased health costs due to 'reforms' like Obamacare

And businesses trying to turn a profit are the villains here?
