WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The United States said on Thursday that Russia was firing artillery across the border into Ukraine to target Ukrainian military positions in the conflict against pro-Russian separatists.
“We have new evidence that the Russians intend to deliver heavier and more powerful multiple rocket launchers to the separatist forces in Ukraine, and have evidence that Russia is firing artillery from within Russia to attack Ukrainian military positions,” State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf said.

My theory is that Russians shot down the Malaysian airliner and had hoped to pin it on the Ukrainians to justify a full-blown invasion.
This is not a retaliation for alleged Ukrainian shelling of Russia, it’s a sign of Russian desperation because the terrorist insurgents are losing.

Last night I was thinking to myself about how the last decades headlines would have looked had I seen them through a time portal when I had just decided to join the military in 1984.
I’m pretty sure I would have just assumed WWIII had broken out.

They wouldn’t have without the assurances they got from Western nations, including the United States, that they would never need a nuclear deterrenace. There’s a lesson learned too late about trusting “progressives”.
What's to stop Russia from moving manufacturing from Ukraine to Russia, and taking in immigrants who don't want to live under the Kiev government to work in those industries?

They haven’t released anything to prove it, like sat photos, so this is likely based on a single video floating around on the internet, by someone claiming to be a Russian Soldier, firing artillery that they also claim is going into Ukraine.

As far as the claim that they intend to give the Rebels “Heavier Rocket Launchers”, I’d say it is likely, since there are numerous videos of Kiev using the heavy “Smerch” launchers against the rebels.
There was even a claim last week that Kiev had launched a Surface-to-surface “Scarab-B” from Kramatorsk into the refinery at Lyshyansk (sp??), but that didn’t go anywhere.
There is supposedly another vid floating around with the same claim that I saw yesterday. I’ll see if I can find it.
