Government is not going to get any better. The tipping point was the enactment of the 17th Amendment to the Constitution.

What I can’t understand is why Rep Cummings is still on the committee investigating the IRS scandal .. when Cummings was involved in the scandal .. per his email which has already been exposed ..????

Anybody know what that’s all about ..?? He’s disruptive; acting like a child; insulting any repub who happens to state any FACT re the IRS issue.

Disgusting.

Pat Roberts has not been in office for 47 years. But, he has been in Washington for 47 years and has not lived in Kansas for all of that time. He moved to Washington to be a staffer for Congressman Keith Sebelius, Republican father in law of Kathleen Sebelius of Obamacare fame and former Governor of Kansas. Pat Roberts father was the Chairman of the Republican National Committee in the Eisenhower era. That’s how it works. Roberts got a job as a staffer that was turned into a seat in Congress when his boss, Keith Sebelius retired. He turned that into a Senate seat and now believes that it is his by hereditary right.

We need to put a stop to this. Is your phone number on Roberts iPhone? Of course not. But you can bet that the phone numbers of the Agri Business and Aviation industry lobbyists are on his iPhone. And he returns their phone calls.

I have decided to vote for Robert's opponent, Dr. Milton Wolf. Roberts really has not been all that bad for conservatives: He certainly is not in the same Quisling league as John McCain or Susan Collins, but it is time for him to step aside and let someone new take over.

I say if you are voting in the Aug 5th Kansas primary, vote for Dr. Wolf, a true constitutional conservative and tea party favorite.

I believe government at the national level is not going to get any better until the congressional good old boys’ club is shut down and closed for good.

I agree. Pat Roberts, Thad Cochran, they all need to go.

We've never needed term limits more than now.

I believe the country's future may well depend on getting these old fogies out of the House and Senate and installing some new blood. And, yes, I know that for folks like Cochran and Roberts they have little to do with the office. That's done by younger assistants. But the assistants have been there forever also.

Sorry, no. I will not back “anybody” over a proven conservative Senator because Mark Levin thinks he’s a “good ole boy”. Not some random doctor guy who joked about his patients x-rays, who perhaps “woke up one morning” after no political involvement and decided he saw a US Senator in the mirror. Just in general I don’t trust people like that to be one of the 100 most powerful people in the country, the idea of replacing Roberts with him is a non-starter.

If you wanted to find a real candidate with a real rationale for running besides “politicians suck” (which is why I desperately wanna be one!!!) and “I’m Obama’s cousin”, who point out some actual shortcomings of Roberts, rather than claims he spends too much in DC, I would have listened to him.

Similar situation with Enzi, Enzi at least committed a majorish offense , championing the Internet sales tax, that’s enough for me to want to explore alternatives, but Club Levin put up a candidate to his left and said it didn’t matter because “He has to go!!” “He’s not a leader”!! And Cheney daughter’s not a conservative! Doy!! That was the most ridiculous races ever except maybe for this one.

What has Roberts done besides been there longer than you think is appropriate? Voting the conservative way for decades, what a bastard!!!!!

“Anybody” does not beat “somebody” especially when that somebody is somebody GOOD like Roberts (but even when they aren’t good, look at how easily Graham won against a weak State Senator and others, look at how McConnell, despite being unpopular, vanquished a lying and idiotic Paulbot challenger).

Conservatives to need to recruit “somebodies” and run them against people that actually deserve to be challenged. They were few Senators up this year LESS in need of a challenger than Pat Roberts and he has one and it’s this joker. Unreal.

Meanwhile RINO Lamar Alexander could lose in Tennessee to a conservative state Rep., if y’all aren’t too busy wasting your efforts trying to defeat one of the better Republican Senators in Kansas and replace him some guy.
