A local home for children has been asked by the federal government to prepare itself to take in unaccompanied immigrant children from Central America who continue to cross over into the United States.
The United Methodist Home for Children in Mechanicsburg has not taken in any children from Central America yet, and it continues to assist children sent to it from the local county courts systems, the group's Board of Trustees Chairwoman Karen Best said Monday. But the agency has been contacted to prepare itself to provide shelter and care for unaccompanied minors, she said.
The home has been approved to receive an Urgent and Compelling Grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to provide temporary shelter services to unaccompanied children beginning in August, according to the home's President and CEO David Reed.

The northeast is going to be inundated with these invaders to make up for their populations who are fleeing. Ofcourse, this will cause even more producers to flee.

It once was an orphanage, but now serves children “in need”.

I would still say those children in need really don’t need disease exposure. Isn’t anyone protecting American children?
Two congressional districts overlap in Cumberland County but it looks like you’re in Scott Perry’s district but Barletta’s is close.
Perry talks the right way but had Boehner over at City Island to speak at a fundraiser for him last year. Barletta has built a reputation on illegal immigration but he ran with RINO GOP Chairman Rob Gleason’s blessing for Congress.
Whatever you do, come in peace, offer something to the children and also clearly state you want them to go home.
Glenn Beck has the right idea because you don’t want to allow yourselves to be portrayed at haters of children.
The other side knows what they are doing, using children as the tip of their spear. Don’t get caught in the tip....

This really got the attention of folks, as there is a *home* taking in kids just blocks away from where our protest was (Conroe).
Since when can our government make community (as in CITIZENS) homes take in illegals....all paid for (GRANT) with OUR tax $$?
What a *brilliant* plan 0 has....amnesty that WE fund....all without a single bill being passed. Years in the making and all under secrecy....for the most part (no pictures allowed!!).
Yes, this is in Perry’s district. Barletta is getting his share of wet ones in Hazelton. Funny how two of the most conservative districts in PA get targeted. Perry votes conservatively, but has given support to Boner. Barletta is less conservative than Perry based on his votes, but he is still pretty good. I wish he would stay away from Gleason, Perry away from Boner. Btw, Perry is my rep, but I actually talk to Barletta occasionally due to mutual friends.
applying for, and then receiving approval (without asking the community opinion, btw) is a bit different than being ‘told to prepare’ as if it’s an order.
