Perry is deploying 1,000 Texas National Guard to the Tex/Mex border over the next month. How that plays out will be a big factor in Perry’s presidential prospects, IMO.

Prepare to be extremely disappointed.

Perry is doing this strictly as political theater.

I see no Governor with a true Warrior for Liberty mentality.

Let's bookmark this post and view again in one month.

P.S. Remember, Perry pushed and succeeded in passing in-State tuition for illegals.

He also saw to it that they get taxpayer subsidized financial aid to go along with their instate tuition. And some call that the acts of a conservative. I don't think so.

Perfect!

Those awful frames weigh more than his head and take up the top third of his face and my TV screen— as distracting as a cosmetic surgery gone bad.

Lose the dang nerd knockers.

Did he figure out that there are 49 states BEYOND Texas borders yet? He certainly didn’t know that in 2012.

Don’t be ridiculous. The Rove-Bush elites despise Perry. They’ve been in a very public feud for a long time.

It was that arrogant pos occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave who claimed that there are 58 states, not Rick Perry

“P.S. Remember, Perry pushed and succeeded in passing in-State tuition for illegals. “

Did that really pass? I didn’t think it did.

I meant it in a different context. Running for president is something you spend years and years getting ready for. Perry, in 2012, looked dumbfounded talking about non-Texas issues. He certainly paid attention to Texas (in good and bad ways), but I don’t think he even thought about running for prez and didn’t pay much attention to the rest of the country, until he was practically drafted into it, in 2011 and by then it was way too late.

It’s big leagues - you’re competing against people that have spent decades, lifetimes, preparing...you have to take it seriously.

If you noticed it has begun in post #3 and if the attitude is like that it is no wonder that we are not winning. Instead of uniting with us, they rather divide and make sure the rats are going to win

You’re correct.
Unless you’re a Democrat where you’ll have the MSM cheering you every step of the way.

So true. I’m really hard-pressed to see much intelligence in any of the Democrats...yet they all do get a pass.

I really believe that in early 2008 the MSM went from strong liberal bias to integral members of the Democrat apparatus.

Well he was pushed into running and his heart was not in it. I learned my lesson when former Senator Fred Thompson was pressured to run for the presidency in 2008 and after the TN primary he exited the race.

I voted for him because he was my senator, but after that I swore to myself that I will never vote for anyone that is being pressured to run for office, unless his or her heart is truly in it.

I refuse to waste my vote

“I really believe that in early 2008 the MSM went from strong liberal bias to integral members of the Democrat apparatus.”

Maybe a bit sooner. I think they saw talk radio and decided that there was no longer any need at all to try to appear unbiased. They also saw their audiences get much smaller and they really needed to work to keep them voting Democrat.

Remember, of course, Dan Rather and the fake letter. Now we laughed when we saw Rather continue to claim that it was real. But he had to - at the time, he held some 10 Million votes (at least) in his hands, they trusted him to an extent we cannot imagine. If he flipped on that letter, they would have been lost regarding how to vote. These 10 million votes are not us, but are my parents...JFK/FDR Democrats - they are the ones that still trusted Rather and he had to deliver...and he did, as it was a CLOSE race.

That was the moment I realized that the media is through trying to be impartial in any way - they will still claim it, again because of those 10 Million votes...but they will not go an inch further.
