The Republican National Committee should censure the committeeman from Mississippi, Henry Barbour, and perhaps request (although not demand) his resignation from the RNC. Barbours apparent involvement with nakedly race-baiting ads and robocalls during the GOP senatorial primary runoff in his state, and his prevarications afterwards both in public and in e-mails to other committee members, merit an official public shaming.
To be clear about exactly what in Barbours conduct does and doesnt deserve a rebuke, and to take care of some housekeeping with regard to journalistic ethics, please forgive a bit of personal backstory.

Maybe the name Barbour needs to be associated with Mississippi Mud
I initially was wrong in connecting Senator Thad Cochran with the non-sense, but it was his campaign that was part of this. He should have condemned it.
However, both Henry and Haley Barbour should be condemned from what has happened, and maybe even Austin Barbour.
This could cost the GOP chances to re-take the Senate, and they had better be aware that many Republicans and Independents may view the GOP-e as no different than the Democratic party...
Thanks duffee.
Did you notice that it’s not until more than halfway through the article that the author mentions that the Barbour in question is “Henry.”...Guess they’re all the same...LOL
When is it going to sink in? THE REPUBLICAN PARTY DOES NOT WANT CONSERVATIVES.
Well, I am a conservative and I do not want RINOs in the party. But that does not mean I will leave the GOP or vote for RATS. I am going to fight and kick the RINOs out of the party and make it the conservative party.
Millions.
“Unless Chris mounts a write-in campaign that will have the votes counted then that is a waste of time; you may as well just stay home.”
I have hopes of a new primary in September. I would hope a “write in” effort would be a coordinated effort IF it becomes necessary. I will NOT vote for Cochran and for me to not vote or vote for a democrat is not an option. It is my time and I would not consider it a waste if I determine it’s what I should do.
With all due respect, that is a fool’s errand. The battle of Conservatives vs. RINOs has been going on for the better part of my life, with only the RATs benefiting.
The RINOs have made it perfectly clear: GIVE US YOUR MONEY. GIVE US YOUR VOTES. WORK FOR US. THEN, SHUT UP AND SIT IN THE BACK OF THE ROOM.
This race is not over. McDaniel has funding and could get a some serious traction.
Exactly if we want to be a majority party we need political strategy and soon. We keep getting beat up by the left and act as if it came out of the blue. None of it does. Its all well planned.
McDaniel has funding and could get a some serious traction.

That said how do you see McDaniel being a factor in the
fall election if he’s not on the ballot?
