Asked by Capitol City Projects Joe Schoffstall on Friday whether or not she had a stated position on Israel's recent foray into Gaza, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) couldn't be reached for comment. Instead, she did exactly what she did two years ago at Netroots Nation when facing tough questions from reporters: she ran away.
In a sense, one might call this the Gov. Chris Christie approach. That is, if you're a politician, never answer loaded questions about sensitive political issues unless you absolutely have to (although, in fairness, Gov. Christie doesn't always follow his own advice).
Nevertheless, better to be pilloried for running away from a question than saying something you might later regret. Right?
UPDATE: Thought you might enjoy this. If this song doesn't brighten your weekend, I don't know what will:
No...just saying they need to learn when to shut up about certain issues or learn to turn the tables on the questioner.
.
Abortion and war on women are 2 topics they will never be able to give an answer to that won’t be twisted
Not so. I've heard some very good answers from strong conservatives. Those who have the most trouble are those who need to calculate the political impact of their words rather than speaking the truth... especially those who are only trying to sound conservative. They accept a false premise and trip over themselves in the answer.
Well put. Thanks.
It’s just that I’m a Hoosier and it sickened me to watch Mourdoch get skewered for a tilted question to get the response they hoped for and exploited.
20 years ago, someone stating what they truly believe as a Christian was as common as flies. Now it is scorned and shamed by the media and Democrats who claim to be Christians.
I haven’t been to church in 40 years, but I understood exactly what he meant and really didn’t think much about it. Just as I respect the millions and millions of people who also are guided by their religion.
It was a seat that was pretty much in the bag until he fell into the trap.
Unfortunately, there isn't much justice out there, and the ragheads most likely will leave the evil places alone and target real America.

They will pillory anyone they put in their crosshairs. Just being a conservative is enough to be scorned. Look at Sarah Palin. She is miles above her detractors and yet the idiocracy calls her an idiot. The ammunition the media uses is to turn conservatism into an evil philosophy and then tar candidates with association. We need stronger candidates to speak the truth of conservatism, not duck the hard questions.

Exactly. There wasn't anything to be thought about it... until the media told the electorate exactly what they should think about it. It doesn't matter what we say, it will be twisted. We have to be bold enough to not run from the truth.
