News of the Democratic National Convention, where it is possible that Henry Wallace might be replaced as Roosevelts V.P. The front runners to oust Wallace are Senator Barkley of Kentucky and James Byrnes, Director of War Mobilization. Senator Truman of Missoura is considered a dark horse in that race. Still, the smart money says Wallace will keep his place on the ticket.

The 48 conventions were broadcast to the exclusion of most anything else. Do not know if the case was the same for the 44, but that was in the days before the REA & our radio relied upon the A, B and C batteries, all with limited life.
