On Friday, we learned that among those killed on the Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 plane that was shot down over Ukraine was top AIDS researcher Dr. Joep Lange. The doctor was en route to the International AIDS Conference, scheduled to begin this weekend in Melbourne, Australia, along with more than 100 other AIDS researchers and activists on the flight.
Also scheduled to attend the conference is President Bill Clinton, who had met Dr. Lange and praised him in an interview with CNN from Hanoi, Vietnam Friday morning. “It’s awful,” he said. “I mean, those people are, they’re really, in a way, martyrs to the cause that we’re going to Australia to talk about.”
While he warned that we should all wait until we know exactly what happened to draw any conclusions, Clinton said he found the whole thing “sickening” and hopes we will know more information soon.
“They were doing so much good,” Clinton said of the researchers. “Thinking about those people being knocked out of the sky, it’s pretty tough.”
CNN reporter Anna Coren said that the conference is expected to proceed as a kind of tribute to those lost in the crash.

Bill Clinton to visit Vietnam again
Former US President Bill Clinton is due to return to Vietnam on July 18 as part of his Asia-Pacific trip to inspect Clinton Foundation operations in five regional countries.
Clinton, who visited Vietnam for the first time as the US president in November 2000, is visiting India, Vietnam, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Australia from July 16-23.
A Clinton Foundation release says the trip demonstrates Clinton’s longstanding commitment to the Asia-Pacific region, as well as the work of the Clinton Foundation on a number of issues that are critical to the region, including global health and improved access to medicines, climate change and economic development.
In Vietnam, he will visit an orphanage on the outskirts of Hanoi to view a Clinton Health Access Initiative programme that aims to prevent tuberculosis among children living with HIV.
Clinton played an important role in normalising diplomatic relations between the US and Vietnam in 1995.

If HIV treatment research had not been over-emphasized in the beginning due to political reasons then very few of those non-homosexual, non-sexual behavior cases would have occurred, because the original vector (the homosexual) would already have been dead.
I’m surprised to see anyone on FR, particularly an owner, advocating this. God sends these diseases for a reason. If you interfere with the epidemiology, meaning hosts organisms survive to endlessly spread the infections (thousands of contacts, sometimes), the cycle will never end, and God will be even less happy with his fallen children.
The same could be said for Congress.

The homosexual acts do bring about diseases galore. However, I'm curious: what sins are God punishing via bone cancer? Ebola? Earthquakes? Alzheimer's? Tornados?
My God taught me to love the sinner and hate the sin. I recommend checking Him out.

Geez, what a useless tool with nothing pertinent to say. Reminds me of when he lurked around the ground zero site after 9-11 trying to be a part of something that wan’t about him (other than his refusing Bin-Ladin’s head on a platter when it was offered to him).
So he cares about the aids researchers, but not about the moms, dads and kids who were also killed?
