” it was in the shop ALL the time and made all sorts of strange noises”
So, they never found the limey hiding in the bonnet?
Used to say about the Soviet Union that the individual planned his future to be either pointing the pistol, or looking down the muzzle of it.
Bet all these Land Rover owners were white male Republicans.
“My wife had an LR2 for about three years, it was in the shop ALL the time and made all sorts of strange noises. We traded it just before the warranty ran out.”
LOL...sorry to year that though. The Brits may do some things right (although examples allude me), but building cars is NOT one of them.
Well, I sympathize with the victims, but I also understand that if these vehicles have been stolen, they must be retained as evidence in order to prosecute the guilty parties, else, the courts would throw out the case for lack of evidence. It’s a shame. Don’t blame the officers. Blame our judicial system.
Most if not all the LR owners, we know are Republicans.
The dealer kept trying to explain that these noises were "normal" and couldn't seem to understand why we didn't think we should be able to hear them above the stereo even when it was parked.
but if they were illegal aliens, it’d be fine
The wanker kept getting tangled up in the fan belt, I’d wager.
Isn’t amazing the HLS can track down these so called illegal vehicles and couldn’t find the Boston Marathon serial killers before they slaughtered and maimed a lot of innocent people.
“News of the seizures first appeared on the Land Rover Defender forum Defender Source around 8 a.m. Tuesday, when one user posted to say that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security came to his home at 6:45 a.m. to seize his truck. That user was quickly joined by several others, who said their Land Rovers were confiscated by investigators who came to their homes with federal warrants.
One of them was Danny Harrington, who lives in Albany, New York. Last year he bought a 1983 Land Rover 110 through a friend in New York. He told Jalopnik that police drove around his residence looking for his truck, and then went to his parents’ house 10 miles away to find it a house where it wasn’t even registered.”
“They told me it was illegally imported, and the guy who imported it last year falsified the paperwork on the truck,” Harrington said. The investigators came to the house with a list of VIN numbers and said his was on it, and that they were taking it with them.”
I figured it out!
These 40 DIDN’T LEAK OIL!
They had to be seized.
Jackasses really don’t have anything better to do than hassle citizens.
Had ENOUGH Yet ?
“Theyre such junk that the feds are probably doing them a favor by taking them away.”
A few years ago I went fly fishing with a guy who owned a decade old LR. The LR ran great during the 3 day trip. I asked him how he got a good one.
He said it was a lemon when he bought it. He basically had every part replaced before his warranty ran out. Somehow he had gotten a copy of bad parts and what the shop was to tell the owners to avoid doing any warranty work. So he knew how to handle his dealer and demand that certain parts be replaced with new ones. If the part worked the way it was intended, he bought an spare or two for his future use.
Busting land rovers, Boston strip clubs for counterfeit NFL merchandise, investigating plumbers, rodeos, leononaide stands, ranchers, neurosurgeons, scummy YouTube film makers, not so scummy film makers, the list goes on and on and on
Apparently they are ‘illegal alien’ Land Rovers......................
That seems to be standard with Herr Obozo's SS troopers.
"I figured it out! These 40 DIDNT LEAK OIL! They had to be seized."
Ever hear of Lucas Lighting, a POHM company?
Their nickname was "Lucas, prince of darkness" for the renowned quality of their products.
